U.S. Politics

Is this a canary in the coal mine for Republicans? I doubt their town halls looked like this during Trump 1.0.
it's fucking humiliating that nobody is stopping this shit.
Another national embarrassment. The American century of humiliation continues.

this was always going to be the end result of the intensifying institutional white supremacy nobody wanted to legitimately address. poor white people still support this dumb shit in droves, as do white-aspiring people of color. sydney sweeney morgan wallen taylor swift blah blah blah

I feel no reporter should ever ask him a question every again (except, of course, the ones anxious to slurp his anus) unless it's to give him a conniption then and there, and absolutely at least one should bring up Epstein at every single press thingie.

Trump is gonna release the Epstein Files.

It's just gonna be about Juan Epstein and behind the scenes Welcome Back, Kotter antics, the best, some say the funniest show, it's true, they tell me all the time. Up your nose, right up it, with a rubber hose - manufactured in the US.

Back to the Dean Cain matter, John Oliver had this to say:

"No need for that guy to wear a mask because the chances of anyone recognizing him are … zero."
Also
Now, I'm not saying that ICE isn't finding people, I'm just saying, when you are reduced to pinning a badge on the 59-year-old star of 'The Dog Who Saved Christmas,' 'The Dog Who Saved Christmas Vacation,' 'The Dog Who Saved the Holidays,' 'The Dog Who Saved Halloween,' 'The Dog Who Saved Easter' and 'The Dog Who Saved Summer,' maybe you are in trouble.

Not to be outdone, Cain had a... Comeback I guess.
He stole that mask joke from the internet – and he also laughed hysterically when Trump said he was going to run for President. Case closed.
We all laughed because it was a bad joke. And people will laugh again eventually, followed by "man what a bunch of fucking idiots back then."

The funniest part about the Trump 'gotcha' comment is like.. yeah, you guys literally voted for someone we laughed at because he's so fucking stupid and unqualified. What are you trying to even say, Dean? What case is closed? That conservative voters are fucking idiots that will vote someone into the presidency that can't read at a 9th grade level? Yeah, that case definitely closed quite a few years ago. Thanks.

Man, what a shit day for our country. First, the Supreme Court being formally asked to overturn their ruling on same-sex marriage. In any normal time, I wouldn't worry about it, but given, well, everything, it's entirely possible that it happens. All because that yeasty twat waffle Kim Davis decided to crawl up from the gutter of obscurity where she belonged. Makes me extra miffed at all my colleagues, friends, and family who were quick to say folks were "overreacting" to Project 2025, saying things like "they're not gonna come for same-sex marriage", or this or that, but here we are. Taking away rights is like opening a can of Pringles for these scumbags- once they pop, they just can't stop.

Then, the White House ordering a review of Smithsonian exhibits to make sure they align with Trump's vision of "American exceptionalism", including removing any reference to his impeachment. So basically, removing the real "history" from the history museum.

Cool. Cool. Hate it here. Wanna barf. Anxiety through the roof. But cool.

And yeah, part of me knows that everything could turn out alright and I may just be jumping the gun, but the point is, there shouldn't even be a gun to jump in the first place. None of this crap is necessary, yet here we are again, spinning the wheel and playing with people's livelihoods just for the hell of it.

I got nothin'.
Collectively, it seems, the United States citizens have chosen open fascism. Academically, it's honestly fascinating how easy it was. Every time he does a fascism, his supporters move the goalpost and are like 'well, it's not fascism because he'd never do X' and then he announces X like three days later and they just start over. It's... something to see. Future generations, or possibly aliens or some shit, will study the Fall of the United States with absolute bewilderment and revulsion.
