There’s an illustrator out there doing art based on GIJoe card and package art, but translating Transformers designs to military armor, retaining things like helmets and color schemes, rifles, gauntlets. Turning wings into jet packs. They look amazing, and I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t buy them if they made them. At least Optimus Prime and Megatron, that’s always my rule of thumb.

Honestly, I do think 3 completely new and unique creations just for Classified is not a bad amount considering just how many beloved characters/costumes haven't even been hinted at yet. I don't mind new stuff at all (I think it's the only way a brand really survives), but it's a tightrope for sure. I'd argue that most people collecting Classified are orders of magnitude more interested in remakes of their favorites than brand new figures.

Its true, but as long as its sparing, i think most of us don't mind. The ones we've gotten so far have been pretty sweet. I really like the Ghost and Grim Vipers, and Wolf Spider fits in with Night Force seamlessly.

Ok so I, like many, have two Cover Girls now. I've decided since I'm a cartoon purist that the first release is going to be Cover Girl. Now I need for one of you creative types to come up with a good codename and backstory for the new one. I'm displaying her with the ponytail and wrench so I'm thinking she's mostly a mechanic but isn't afraid to join the battle if needed.

Best backstory/name wins! There is no prize, just knowing that your character has been immortalized in my collection should be more than enough.

With the way Capcom is so open to licensing the SF brand, I’d say it’s definitely on the table. I mean we’re getting those SF/WWE crossover figures that don’t make any sense.

We’ve gotten a handful of figures already that were used for the original line. Big Boa was Balrog, Slice was Ryu, Storm Shadow v2 was Ken. Technically Road Pig was Guile and Blanka, but I don’t see him working for them this time. Maybe Zangief. Who ironically used Gnawgahyde parts which I also don’t think would work for Gief this time around.

I imagine it would be part of the license that they couldn’t do game looks, which I’d be alright with. I don’t need the line to be a total slave to the originals (that Classified Storm Shadow body that Ken would use kind of sucks), but I’d be happy if they Classified-up characters whose original figures actually looked like the game models, like Dhalsim, Sagat, and Honda.
