G.I. Joe Classified Series

Law is growing on me very quickly. Using the Outback buck is a bit of a cheat code but his vest is great, too. I love the walkie talkie mic that can be disconnected from the vest and held in his hand. You really have to cram his helmet down hard but he looks good when it's low. Buddy looks like a hard worker with the burly body and safety helmet. He's going to look even better flanked by a couple of the police guys (they have the same vest). Also the Uzi 9mm is my favorite gun in the line and his painted one is now my favorite Classified gun in the display.

Pythona looks really cool. I may have to snag her at some point if I see her on sale.

Anybody else had a chance to crack open the CLAW yet? If ever a toy DESPERATELY needed a flight stand, it's this one. Trying to figure out which, if any, of my existing flight stands can support the weight. I think a McFarlane stand might be able to handle it short term.

Yep, the Claw came this afternoon. It's nice but I wouldn't have minded if it was about 15-20% smaller and more in line with the original in terms of pilot-to-Claw ratio.

And you are absolutely correct about a flight stand. I was looking for a wire clothes hanger in the basement earlier in hopes of converting that into a stand but those all appear long gone. I haven't found anything else that works so far. I didn't try a McFarlane stand but I'm not sure it will be stable enough.

I think if I can get an existing flight stand to clip onto the pilot herself, I might be able to do some short-term displays. But man, this sucker is BIG. I mean it's cool! I like it. But I agree that maybe 20% smaller would've been just as cool, and eaisier to display. When the box showed up I was like "really, Hasbro? That's a lot of empty air" and then I got it open and was like "or it's a BEAST"

While they did a great job with the CLAW (got mine yesterday), a flight stand definitely would be nice. I see photos where people are just using the figure stand to keep the figure stable and standing while the CLAW is attached (so not a "flight" stand, but at least a display piece). However the interesting one for me is what I saw with "A Punk With Toys" review. He hung the CLAW off the back rail of the HISS. It actually stays on pretty easily and looks kind of cool while also being an interesting way to transport it (and a throw back to the original HISS and CLAW which could do that apparently).

Man the HISS is becoming a bit "busy" with all the things that can be attached/towed with it.

I just opened the CLAW. It’s a fine small vehicle. More moving parts than I expected. The landing gear is appreciated. I do agree that some kind of flight stand would have been good to include. I’m surprised that the figure can stand with it on, if the rear stabilizers are used as feet. The wings are pretty light, and big enough. I could agree about the preference for them being smaller, but this is fine. The pilot is ok, could have used a hinged neck for more upward movement. I plan to put retro Cobra Commander in it anyway to recreate the movie intro.

Finally!!!

Got an email from Pulse today to say that my Rattler is shipping. According to tracking it should be delivered tomorrow (fingers crossed). Man Pulse has been delivering for me the past week and a bit. First I got ML Hulkbuster and Skaar delivered (from the Power Days sale), then my CLAWs and now the Rattler. A great problem to have.

Ha! I had the same thought when mine arrived. Of course my wife got to the package first and gave me a look with how big the box was. I normally go back and show her how small the actual item is to try to prove that I have actually been shrinking my overall collection not enlarging it.
