Waiting for any of the 2A guys in literally any stand your ground state to start taking these guys out. Not sure how any court in the land could EVER convict someone of mowing down a bunch of armed men not identifying themselves as they attempt to kidnap people in the streets. And it's not just legal. It's morally correct to kill ICE agents.

Not that I want to see bloodshed, but if they're rounding up only bad dudes, why haven't I heard anything about gunshots, unless I missed something. Bad guys would have guns and I wouldn't be going to El Salvador peacefully.

Yeah, I don't want to see bloodshed (if only because I don't want to see escalation) but if one of these Dog the Bounty Hunter wannabes got fucked up by more than glitter, they'd have it coming. The 2A/stand your ground knuckle draggers have been very quiet.
 
Yeah, that's something that seems insignificant, but makes me want to scream. He's mentioned the holiday thing before.
We know who he's gunning for. Besides that, don't Americans have the fewest holidays of any decent country? Really worker friendly and populist.
New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Most people don't even get all those days. MLK, Presidents Day, Juneteenth, Columbus , and Veterans Day is a nope at just about every place I've ever worked.
 
Yeah, I've never gotten a single holiday off, except maybe Christmas, but that's because I requested that day off like 8 months in advance. Considering all the atrocities the US has and continues to bestow upon the African American community, one lousy day is the absolute bare minimum we can do, especially since it's one of those "95% of things continue on as normal" holidays.

But then again, this is the man who turned his own birthday into the most disgustingly needlessly extravagant displays of power in recent history. He doesn't want us to care about all the things he's trying to abolish so it'll make it easier for him to actually abolish it.

To be fair, it's not just Trump. There being too many holidays is an idea DEEPLY entrenched in the 'why can't we let kids work in the mines anymore?' party. It can never be said enough. We are a servant class to them. That's it. We shouldn't have rights. We shouldn't have safety. We shouldn't have our basic needs guaranteed by a full time job. We shouldn't have days off. We shouldn't have Unions. We shouldn't have any protections as workers. We should work and beg them to let us keep working so maybe we don't starve.


That's not hyperbole. That is literally what they want.
 
Yeah he didn't flap his face sphincter about this on Memorial Day, did he. Pretty blatant who he's targeting. And as many folks have said, you have to be WILDLY racist to be pissed off about a free day off in June.

They really do just want us to go back to the mines. I worked for an international company for like five or six years and every colleague overseas had more time off than we did. WE used to get a lot of work done on the backlog when entire countries would shut down for Christmas and we kept slogging. The fact that he thinks Americans don't want more holidays is the labor equivalent of ... I just deleted three or four things that were basically "my partner wants to be abused" but they were all too harsh. This country's relationship with working itself to death is a cult in and of itself.

I had a friend who worked at a tech company when they opened up an office in the West of Ireland and when the executive team tried to force everyone to work on a national holiday, the locals were like: they just won't show up. They don't want any job that thinks it can force htem to work on a holiday." The execs didn't believe them.

Only the American import employees showed up on the holiday. NOBODY ELSE went in.

MEANWHILE, two brothers escorted their mother to an ICE facility in their National Guard uniforms because they didn't want someone else to do it. Fuck this shithole country.
