Marvel Legends Maximum Series

I got Maximum Hulk free on Amazon and two Maximum Spideys for $33 total. I had returned some McFarlane DC Multiverse figures I decided I didn't want and requested gift cards. I think that was one the better decisions I've done this year. I returned more McFarlane DC figures so now waiting on the new Juggernaut to drop.
 
Deadpool would make sense, because I just purchased the MAFEX reissue. 🙃 First Deadpool in my collection, in homage to the 1993 Joe Madureira Deadpool poster I bought from my local comic shop and hung over my bed in elementary school. Never read a single Deadpool mini or ongoing after, but that poster was incredible.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the Bob and Deadpool 2-pack only $49.99 at suggested retail? If so, damn, two years later and you can get Maximum Spidey vs that 2 pack that has tons of accessories and a whole other figure for the same price. If Deadpool is next, I just can't see how they can Maximize him more than that pack. That 2-pack was Maximum Deadpool.

Nerdzoic hinted that aftermarket prices for DD are about to drop, but that could just be in reference to a single card release of the three pack DD and not a Maximum. But really, the Maximum paradox that they've created is—do they intentionally not improve on their mainline releases so they can have something worth "Maximum" in the future? Three standard Captain America's released in a row without a diaphragm joint, and only one with a regular shield (but no scales...)
 
@AgentHemlock I believe that the reference to Daredevil aftermarket prices was due to the leak of him being included in the second Secret Wars wave. That does remind me that I still need to get my cel-shaded version listed on ebay pronto, though.
 
Yeah, that DP and Bob set was madness.

I truly have no idea what you improve unless it's just a repack with even more head options, the animals, and modular straps and holsters.

And even then we're pushing it.
 
If Deadpool had a unique sculpt for his costume, that's pretty much all I could imagine being an upgrade. And a hinge neck.
 
Just got Maximum Hulk from Pulse. I love this Hulk! The dynamic head sculpts are a ton of fun, especially the screaming head. I love the 80th anniversary Hulk, but I did wish he had more forward shoulder range of motion for cross-body punches and the thunderclap move. This Maximum Hulk gets great range to get into those poses without an unsightly butterfly joint cutting into the pectoral sculpt. My main hobby is weightlifting, and I sometimes worry about butterfly joints breaking into the pecs. This soft pectoral overlay material looks great and functions really nicely. I love the thunderclap effect which also works great for a punch effect. There’s a lot more new parts than I expected—three new heads, new torso of course, new deltoids, new abdominals, and new feet. Really fun Hulk! I’m very impressed with the Maximum series so far.

Appreciate it. I was hoping to find something specifically painted to color match Max Hulk, but I may give up and try painting one myself. Thanks again.
 
Still nothing from Best Buy. Looks like they will cancel it in 3 days if there's no movement. Not sure I'll pay full price for the big Guy.

It's saying theyll issue (not offer) a refund on the 15th, so I'm assuming they'll just outright cancel it then.

"We're working on shipping this item. It's unlikely, but if your item isn't available by Sun, June 15, we'll issue a refund"
 
So, after cancelling my original pre order, I changed my mind and ended up ordering Maximum Hulk. And I'm honestly glad I did. I really like this figure a lot. Granted, maybe there isn't quite enough to merit the "Maximum" price tag between updates to the figure itself and the accessories, but I really don't feel it's too far off.

If we just bought a regular Hulk, it would be $40 and maybe come with alternate hands and an alt head. So, being we get 2 alt heads, alt hands, the thunderclap effects, and the breakable rocket, along with the new rubbery overlay allowing hulk to do the Thunderclap, and some very bright, colorful, and well applied paint apps, $20 extra bucks doesn't feel like too far a stretch.

And no matter what, just having the figure in hand, I am in no way disappointed in it and I am very happy to have it. I was initially worried about the rubbery upper torso overlay, but I think it feels good enough it will hold up and do well. At least in my lifetime, and that's all I need it for lol.

I enjoyed Maximum Spider-Man, so I gave this a shot and I really like it too.
