NECA - General Thread

I saw a few Grovers at a Target in the Los Angeles area yesterday, along with plenty of every other haulathon figure except Pee-Wee. He's definitely still getting stocked in the stores.

I've never bought a Sesame Street figure of any kind before but for some reason Super Grover really hits the nostalgia button for me. I see he's still in stock online and part of me is like DO IT and part of me is like "you do not need another rabbit hole to fall down, you fool"

haha I feel the same, but it's the Count that tempts me!

I guess Target "leaked" this:

Grover was sold out before I could get him online. I figure like most stuff on here they'll be hanging around long after given the prices and folks not having a lot of expendable cash. Target's still hocking the 1st Edition Pee Wee I had such trouble finding when it released last Haulathon. Managed to get the new edition (no relation to Bobby Brown) Pee Wee, Herman Munster and another fig. to put me over the $90 threshhold for $20 bonus. Not sure if they just deposit it in my Target acct. or what.

Not the best photos. Dumbledore has that awful pink eye companies for some reason thinks looks good at this scale. Oh, he's missing glasses. Did the original figure have glasses?

Were there photos of the NECA Weasley twins prototypes? I Googled but couldn't find them.
I looked for the photos of the twins but I just couldn't find them. They showed them off at either SDCC or NYCC back in like 2007-2009. I can't find many images from back then.

Thank you for the photos! They look pretty decent, I especially want that Dumbledore, I love how detailed the sculpt is!

I'm almost 100% certain they're pictured in an issue of ToyFare, too. I'd have to dig through my issues to even find it though.

Also not an exclusive, so he'll be available everywhere later.

A question for the experts...

So last night, my NECA big chap Alien took a brutal dive from the top of my display case and snapped his neck pin clean off. This is the Alien from at least 10 years ago or more. I'm pretty sure I can easily repair his neck with a strategically placed headless screw but his gummy knees have always annoyed me to no end so, if I can upgrade him, all the better. I just ran a few searches for a replacement or hopefully an upgrade, but all the Alien figures I saw were different versions from different films. Either that, or they're from Mafex or hot toys and are waaaay to expensive for my cheap ass. I'm looking for the classic original Alien from Alien.
My question is, are there any suitable replacements out there that I'm not seeing, or might there be one in the pipeline due to be released in the near future?
Edify me.
