Agreed. I try to throw in a pledge for at least one item for 1:12 kickstarters but these are just too expensive for what they are. Can't justify it.My first thought was that was gonna be tough to pass on. Then I went to the Kickstarter and saw it's $50 for a less than 5" figure. Crisis averted.
I keep forgetting how small — and pricey — these are.
It does look fun, though.
That seems to be how they're doing things right now. With enough pressure from folks maybe they'll make the heads available again later...but for now, just the all ins had the extra accessories. So if I pledge for the Shadow Mothman alone it does *not* come with the alternate head, correct? That is only with the all-in?
Thank you. I ended up not pledging. I am surprised this one did as well as it did. Figures were really pricey for retro-looking, low detail figures with basic articulation, and they're releasing at a time when much more highly detailed, better figures of cryptids like bigfoot and yeti are available. Maybe it was a successful gambit overall restricting figure upgrades to all-ins, but the lack of the extra head dissuaded me from pledging for a shadow Mothman (the only one that's cartoonish quality was somewhat obscured by its monochromatic dark colorway. Clearly a lot of love for cryptids out there and perhaps I'm in the minority preferring modern detail over retro cartoonishness. That seems to be how they're doing things right now.
