X-Men '97

I don’t think this body will work for New Mutants. It has those ‘90s straps, probably keyed into the thighs. The sculpt lacks muscle definition, and where there is that definition, it’s more anime styled. This will work great for the more slender Morph, but not for much beyond that.
 
Ah, ha! As if on cue, Morph gets leaked.

I notice Jubilee in the corner art now. Too bad we couldn't get a pic of the back of the package.

The upper chest looks heavily stylized which is fine for animated morph but I'd want something different for New Mutants.

Gyrich head is a huge plus, he can go on any suited body (which Hasbro would have done anyway)
 
It's hard for me to get excited for a third X-Men '97 wave despite buying all figures in the first 2 waves except the 2nd Magneto. I also pre-ordered two of those X-Men '97 made to order Sentinels.

Morph was always going to be the most interesting of the leaked/rumored group to me, but including the Gyrich head seals it for me. I have the other animated VHS Morph and the AOA version but this one looks great. That Gyrich head will almost certainly be going on the Hoverchair Charles suited body since Savage Land Chuck has taken residence in the hoverchair for me.

Assuming that these are going to be all pinless, I'll probably end up getting Emma and Jubilee. Maybe Cable as well. Logan and Sunspot seem less likely for me unless they're heavily discounted. Sunspot would almost have to come with powered up parts for me to be interested. We'll see.

I'd just really like to see characters never made in the Legends line before and it doesn't sound like there's going to be any of that. The Gyrich head might be as close as we get, and I am grateful for that at least.

Yes, skullcap Byrne Cyke is the one I'm referring to. I'm legit surprised he isn't in this leaked list, as he is a no-brainer for all the reasons you noted.
 
I really wanted to get around to selling my Byrne Cyclops before SDCC this year. Seems like a redo must be imminent.

I get this, but this line is for X-Men '97 and this line-up completes the team*. Roberto I would count as a new character and all of them are new to this line.

I would never prefer Narissa before a correct and matching Jubilee, or the stupid evil spider/eagle thing over Emma. They can come later!

*Beast is, of course, still MIA, even from the updated packaging. Really hope they announce him on cardback as well.
 
That official Gyrich head is 100% replacing my unmasked Matt Murdock head on the Hoverchair Xavier suit body amidst my Sentinels!

Sucks that the only Bastion still is that fucking HasLab one. Whoever thought it was a great idea to put up a crowdfund literal months into a global lockdown when half the planet was fucking unemployed deserves to be fucking fired.

Out of a cannon.
