X-Men '97

Psylocke from this series is the easy standout for me on the wanted list. Wouldn't mind Havok, Polaris and Multiple Man. I don't know that Colossus will have enough presence to warrant a figure, but then again Emma got one from Season 1, so I'd appreciate him as well.

As for the "time lost" looks, I'm not really into any of the pre-/post-Apocalyptic looks, but I'd probably buy the Wolverine and no one else...maybe Beast if he came with a unique head expression.
 
Colossus, as he appears in the trailer approaching that shrine, probably has a good shot of making it into a wave. That would have cross-appeal with comic collectors and I do think that's a factor for them when planning out a line.
 
Yeah, Acolyte Colossus would be an instant purchase for me. Hes very much actively on my wishlist.
 
I dunno, some of the 97 figures have an almost fondant / cake frosting quality to their plastic, and while I'd like Acolyte Colossus, I'd want him to look like he fits in with Fabian Cortez and the forthcoming Exodus and any other Acolytes they do. 97 Sunspot doesn't look like he fits in with the New Mutants they're now doing from 616.
 
Fondant is a PERFECT descriptor for the figures. I think most look fine but some look better than others. Archangel in particular I think looks fine, but I think the GUN they shipped him with looks like "is it cake?" Basketball rogue doesn't feel like cake to me.
 
I don't know if cake frosting comes in Pantone, but if it does - you nailed it. :)

Looking at my shelf quickly in the half dark only the cast yellow plastic reflects like most ML figs. I never noticed that before.
 
I'm going to start assessing my figures based on their resemblance to cake.

I think most do work in comic displays, but there definitely are some that work better than others. Sunspot is just a pure whiff though. Maybe they got concept art that had a desaturated yellow? If you watch the first season, when he stands beside Jubilee his shade of yellow matches her coat.
 

Justin's Collection on YouTube has a review of the SDCC Xavier set. Looks pretty good! Definitely gonna be one I try to snag, if there's enough for the public after premium members get their shot.
 
All I can think is how much I want a new Jubilee in her 92' outfit. She's the only one who didn't get a 97' figure in the original look.

We also need her Gen X look from this season and I hope it come with rollerblades.

Gotta have the blades, throwback to the OG Gen X figure.
