Canadian side, but as soon as PP won his seat, it's like every algorithm decided to dredge up the worst of his worst and smear it all over my screens even when I'm just looking up baking hacks or music news.

Yep.

I had a tiny, infinitesimal, hope that he would lose the seat. However I knew the chance of that was pretty much zero. I had hoped that he would under perform from the previous election, but alas he got about 80% of the vote which is right in line with every conservative win in that riding. I would have loved if he got 60% or less because that would have been almost as bad as losing.

Now we are going to have to put up with him back in Parliament come September. Ugh.

What's funny is that some of the people after the election were talking about how they believe Pollievre will be good for their community. That he'll keep on top of their local issues and not do like every party leader before (including him) and basically disappear from the riding because trying to be Prime Minister is more important.

It tells you everything you need to know about modern conservatism in Canada that PP lost his seat, lost his bid to be PM, and then forced an already-elected official out of THEIR seat so he could have it. AND conservative still voted for the 2-time loser that has no idea what he's doing, never has, and has never done anything for anyone. Brainwashed fucking idiots, the lot of them.
