U.S. Politics

It's so close to that outcome that I feel like I'm losing my mind, because a LOT of us have been screaming we were right there on the edge of this for so long and the mass of voters didn't believe it or didn't care. It's like we've hit the point where we're one massacre in the street away from it being absolutely, unquestionably as bad as WE WERE WARNED it would be.

How many of us in this thread were asked in the past eight or so years if we ever got tired being a naysayer all the time?

Well, those remarks by Trump certainly do make me nervous. Doesn't even matter if it's true, all that matters is that he thinks it's true, and will act accordingly. Given that he incited the January 6th riots, he's 100% the type of person who would start a literal war (pointlessly, I might add), if only it meant he could make one last power move, or somehow delay what's coming to him. Or hell, just out of pure spite to totally screw over whoever is coming in after him. The man is not only dangerous, but he's dumb and dangerous, which one could argue is an even scarier combination than smart and dangerous.

1984-ass country

I live in fear of shit like this happening in my industry.
Fortunately, FOR NOW, the Board of Behavioral Sciences is incredibly “woke”: studying for my licensure exam was delightfully illuminating in that regard. Like you are *required* to work by “woke” principles if you want to be a licensed marriage and family therapist in good standing, like answers on the licensure test would be “wrong” if you didn’t give the “woke” answer. FOR NOW. But I was also struck by how easy it could be flipped. How easily you could be counted “wrong” unless you gave some wildly shitty answer that just happened to be “approved”.
Scary shit.

Chris Pratt (probably a conservative Christian, to be fair)
Dude. Research the guy. He's not just a conservative Christian. He's actually a MASSIVE pile of shit. Like.. abandoning his disabled child for not being 'normal' kind of guy. Chris Pratt is less than garbage.

I saw someone say Hollywood needs to stop casting Pratt in things but part of me is like no, keep him busy, we do not want him idle enough to run for fucking OFFICE.
