U.S. Politics

Wonder how many members of Congress learned about it second-hand via social media.

Saw someone say earlier the rest of the world is watching the US like the US watched the Tiger King but a friend in Sweden said "no, it's worse because you have nukes."

My 20 year old step daughter told my wife the other day she was afraid we were going to war. I thought that odd since we hsd been at war the vast majority of her life. It made me hopeful for the future though.

And I'd love to think we could all rest a little easy on the notion that Congress would step up and do something about it, but I think we all know that's a fat chance, considering how many of them are probably on his payroll already. If ever there was a time I wanted to be proven wrong, though, this is it. Really can't express how badly I don't wanna get wiped out in a nuclear war.

My fear is less a nuclear war and more that this has ensured that kids in elementary school today will live through their own 9/11 event in ten years as all the atrocities this will stir up come home to roost. More kids fighting in the desert over things that happened when they were in elementary school.

Probably every Democrat.

Trump is such a massive tool. He has this incredible ability to continue to lower my opinion of him when I thought it couldn’t go any lower.

Who knew that Panera giving us the death lemonade was actually them giving us the chance to take the easy way out?

To be fair, though, who among us hasn't started a world war because nobody showed up to our birthday party? If I had a nickel....

A lot of the no-war conservatives turned into 'yes, absolutely war' conservatives really fucking quick, didn't they? It's the fucking hat trick of modern American politics; We get to have a war because our economy is a disaster, we get to bomb a bunch of brown people, AND we get to do it on behalf of making ourselves look like Israel's servants.
Someone remind me when the United States of America became a fucking client state of Israel.

Yeah, it's shocking, but not at all surprising, the amount of folks who, before last night were all "war isn't the way to peace", and now they've pivoted to "war is the only way to peace." I can't tell you how many times just this morning I've seen people commenting on my friend's posts saying "Just be patient- this is the right move. Wait and see."

I'm not saying you're wrong but a lot of establishment types have been wanting to bomb Iran for a while. unfortunately some of those establishment types are also Democrats :-/

there is a sizeable anti-war constituency though, that's the glimmer of hope that I'm gonna hold onto.
