Tracking toy tariffs

I don't know the first thing about Spero, and I'm not at all defending someone taking advantage of the tariff confusion to price gouge. But if companies are having basically all of their upcoming imports stopped because of the embargo, they might be scrambling to make up some of that revenue elsewhere by raising prices on existing products since they're basically screwed after the next 30 days when inventories dry up. Throw it on the pile of terrible consequences from this disastrous policy.

I know Amazon is the devil, but if Amazon, Walmart, and a few other HUGE retailers all did this they might have a brief moment of doing the right thing. I know a ton of smaller retailers are adding a Trump Tax to their checkout but it'll take the kaiju-sized retailers to scare him into backing down. Might be the only time our "the worst part of cyberpunk" society where corporations have more power than the government in many ways would actually do something to help. (Amazon - still evil. But even the Joker tried to shoot Red Skull on principle.)

This is one of the few instances where the right thing and the greedy thing overlap. His need to flex power clashes with their need to own everything. It's a very "let them fight" sort of scenario. Best case scenario they all come out of it weaker. Second best scenario is they drive him into a corner so he doesn't try this particular stupid thing again.
 
TBF as collectors we probably don’t want a tariff surcharge instead of a price increase. I could see a tariff surcharge being added to existing preorders.

UPS will be cutting 20,000 jobs and 73 facilities by June due to decreased Amazon shipping. Amazon deliveries make up about 12% of their business.

CEO of Chase Morgan is saying the best case scenario for the US is now a recession. BEST case.

"UPS is cutting 20k jobs because Amazon deliveries are down! The boycott worked."
Dude, Bezos is still rich and 20,000 UPS workers are going to be looking for work during a recession/depression. I don't know if I'd call that working. Also, probably wasn't the boycott anyway.
 
I would assume it's a product of anticipated lower demand and Amazon allocating more resources to their own trucks. I haven't received a package from Amazon that wasn't delivered by Amazon in quite some time. I am located near a hub though, which is annoying because sometimes these Amazon trucks are occupying every damn pump at the gas station.

I follow them and they don't post updates publicly, they just DM out updates on Instagram to a group of followers. I don't even know if it's the tariffs slowing them down as much as them just biting off too much and not being ready. The designs for the named characters aren't fully finished yet and AFAIK they want to do all the male characters on the same printing run. I don't think we will see the females released in 2025; them, along with the animal creatures, are coming second to the main male figures. Heck, we still don't even have renders of the females.

You mean to tell me an asshole who goes by the online handle of "Inhaled Farts" might not be on the up and up? Shocked, SHOCKED, I tell ya.
