Tracking toy tariffs

I don't really believe in vampires, but Stephen Miller is definitely vampire-adjacent. I have a daydream about the next administration sending Trump and the most harmful members of his administration to Guantanamo. Stephen Miller is near the top of the list.

There's enough documented history to safely assume Trump's probably always been racist, but I think Miller super-charged Trump's racism with his Camp of the Saints poison.

As a giant, massive, way-bigger-than-you’d-even-think vampire fan, I’m glad that we currently are in a pop-culture moment of truly horrifying vampires in cinema (GO SEE NOSFERATU AND SINNERS NOW!!!) so that we can make apt analogies to the current crew of actual human ghouls who have squatted on our government. Like nope, they don’t sparkle and they’re not like hot and misunderstood or whatever: we’re talking about foul, undead (ideologically speaking), inhuman monsters who literally only see people as disposable vessels to be used and drained and discarded. This is who these people are. There is no nuance that makes any difference. And they should absolutely be dragged into the sunlight so that they can be exposed and exorcised off this earth.

I feel like you're on the verge of breaking the plot on the next big horror movie.

I would not be a bit surprised to have it revealed at some point that Miller eats human flesh. Not. One. Bit.

Years ago I went to a script writing workshop and we were supposed to workshop something as improv for the exercise. I'm just going to tell you cuz I don't really care if anyone steals it because I thought it was pretty generic, but mine was a vampire thriller called Bleed and it was about how the world is run by different factions of vampires that I shamelessly ripped off from vampire the masquerade.

And the focus was on America and it's politicians all being vampires or thralls and how they operated to keep America ignorant and self involved for their own feeding and power interests, and it was a Blade Matrix type adventure about the behind the scenes politics and gun fu.

Anyway, the reason I tell you this is many people at the workshop told me that was a really stupid analogy and it made no sense.

So I'm just glad to meet people like you

Bobby wants you to know that he won't tolerate politics in the comments:

He might not be freaking out, but you can tell he's going to be over a barrel too if it continues.

I mean look at some of the vitriol in this thread and other toy discussion places. I don’t blame him.

Bobby is vitriol personified.
The only reason he doesn't want politics in his comments is because he's a Trump voter. Let's be clear - Republicans are uniquely and always the ones saying 'let's keep politics out of this' because they never want to have to justify their stupid bullshit. That's it. Now and always. It's what I like to call the 'civility smokescreen' that lets people pretend like their decisions don't have consequences.

I mean, he's choosing to make a video about a topic he claims he's not really that concerned over. But the notion that there should be no political commentary on a thing that is *entirely* political in nature is... a stance. There is no way to view tariffs outside a political lens. The only reason you levy them is politics, the way you do it is politics, and the only people who can make them or respond to them are political figures.

It's like saying I want to talk about Marvel Legends action figures but I'd rather you not talk about superheroes. If you want no discussion about the thing that is happening and why, don't make a statement. It's not like staying quiet would hurt his channel, his toy line, or anything else. He just feels the need to speak on it, but doesn't want to deal with the obvious next step of discussion going to where this pressure is coming from and why.

Also, like.. imagine how far up Trump's ass you have to be to say you're 'not worried about tariffs' while literally every corporation and every country is openly talking about being worried about tariffs.
Like, what's the goal there? To look like the dumbest fucking guy on the planet? Does he think daddy Trump is going to see his shitty little YT videos and call him up to be Secretary of Ball-Gargling?

I should say, the fact that he's trying to keep his prices stable, good on him. That's fine customer focus. It's just silly to me to try to talk around the elephant in the room when it's literally one guy responsible for a massive economic disruption.
