The Countdown to SDCC 2025!

This is from the Hasbro display today. What the heck is that shield around Magneto, where'd that come from?!?! I need that RIGHT NOW! :love: And that extra-long Cyclops optic blast, GIMME! This is the stuff I want WAAAY more than figures. I'm in for every Maximum or Deluxe or whatever release they pack with this kind of stuff.

Back in the hotel. Got the Savage Land set, Cold Slither, Sli e and Dice and a bunch of Magic Cards for my nephew. They also have the dune buggy Awe Striker... but I didn't pull the trigger on that one... I have it pre-ordered and am not sure. I need to spend that money now.
 
And then there's these two guys.

Dwight and Dan were very touched by the cards. They loved their sets from last year. I told them that the cards represent our picks for the top 12 single figures, top 3 deluxe figures, top 3 box sets, and the top 4 staff picks (Wait. The staff gets picks? Just kidding! Love you guys!) I gave them our web address and told them that we migrated here from the Fwoosh. Dwight said "Whatever happened to the them?" I told them we don't know, but we're articulatedthoughts.com now.

Ryan was not there, but I will see him before the shows over. It's only Wednesday. We still have all weekend.

So that's it, guys. articulatedthoughts.com is now on the map!
 
And now I've got some news. I'm not sure how you guys are going to react to this.

To me this is GREAT news. The best I could possibly get.

Dwight said that there's a figure in the pipeline that he knows I will be real interested in. He said it won't be revealed this weekend, but definitely before the year is out. He says he thought about me the entire time he was designing it. He said can't tell me who it is, but that I will be very, very happy. I said "This figure you're talking about. Did he first appear in Marvel Comics number 1 in August of 1939?" He just smiled and said "I can't tell you that."

Well, c'mon. He has to be talking about this dude.

Who else could it be? I can't think of any other character I've asked for as much as I've asked for this one.

He said the Torch "mystery figure" has already been green lit and it's in the pipeline so it's a lock. He's assured me it's happening.

He told me that he DOES think about us and our wants when it comes to character selection. He enjoys going to shows and talking to us. He wanted to let us know that our wants are important and they take them into consideration.

And that's why the trading cards are important. Now Dwight and Dan have a physical representation of our most wanted figures.

@hmmberto and @Beamish , thank you both so much for the cards and the polls. They do make a difference.

I'm buying two Torches "mystery figures" when they come out. One for my Golden Age shelf and one for my Avengers West Coast team.

I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight. I just know it.
 
Nice work SDC. The Top 10 this year is just about my favourite iteration in years - so many grails on there - so it’s definitely a good thing that the Hasbro team are getting a little point in that direction.

Excited to see the reveals start pouring in…
