Super 7 Ultimates Thread

Has anyone who ordered deluxe Cheetara from Target.com received her? Mine is still listed as backordered, which always feels like a death knell.

I got Cheetara and Tygra the same day from a Target app order, even though tracking had her coming a couple days later/

I don’t get it. Both figures are part of the same order placed March 2, pretty much as soon as they were made available. Is it some kind of regional distribution thing? I haven’t seen evidence of either figure at bricks and mortar yet and have been checking nearly every other day between two stores.

Mine showed up last Tuesday, so yes she was delivered. I have been to multiple Target stores and have yet to see her or Tygra on a shelf or peg.

Listening to the Johnny Nostalgia/Mad Hatter live stream and Hatter mentioned he once tried to get an interview with Flynn, but he backed out when Super7 demanded he submit his questions in advance for approval. I know that's not unusual, but if you ever wondered why all the interviews are loaded with softball questions well now you know.

Not surprising.

Pretty much a standard practice across the board for interviews. Most companies, celebrities, politicians willing go to friendly outlets for softball questions. It is rare in today's media landscape to have "hard" interviews anymore. Most likely you'll get a few questions that seem like they might be antagonistic, but really are barely going to scratch the surface.

Seeing chatter on socials that the Thundercats Skycutter is the latest Super7 project to not hit its funding goal. I'm not sure on the timing of everything, but I heard there were some QC issues with the Cat's Lair - I wonder if that played a role? Or the the thing was just too damn expensive for what it was ($150, I think?).

Was the Skycutter actually up for order somewhere? I may have figured out why it didn't hit its funding goal.

I don't remember seeing it. That would be the most Super 7 move ever.

"Why didn't the Sky Cutter sell ANY units? Oh shit, we didn't even put it up??"

The Skycutter never went up for pre-order... so any buzz that it didnt hit its target is either nonsense, or they were counting on a number of set orders from outlets like BBTS or Entertainment Earth that those outlets wouldnt commit to because of tariff uncertainty.

But it is expensive and I guess not the most necessary item. I do wonder if they may release the updated Vulture Man separately..

@PantherCult, I suspect the Vultureman was always intended to be sold separately. Same as when they released Mandora and Copper Kidd with their vehicles.

It never going up for order must mean they couldn't cost it out for what was reported as the MSRP. Or the reaction from retailers and online was so lackluster they concluded it was doomed to fail.

Did they ever even confirm anywhere if the Vulture Man was a new sculpt and smaller? Or was he just a toy version repaint. I don't see the issue with the old one really. People online were acting like he was gargantuan but he is barely bigger than anything else.
