Super 7 Ultimates Thread

Brian Flynn is supposed to have an interview with someone during NYCC. I just saw it advertised but I forget who it was with. Someone named Esoteric? They will mainly cover the NYCC Walmart Con stuff, but maybe he will mention TigerSharks.

I think TigerSharks are still possible despite all of Super7's recent changes and poor sales. Luckily for me, i don't need or want them even though I remember TigerSharks. But hey, nothing wrong with wanting them. I'm sure they will look cool, and who the hell else will ever make them.

I still keep thinking about grabbing the Super7 Conan and Krull. I have the first comic Conan they released, but I haven't bought these 2 new figures.

I wouldn’t be shocked if Tiger Sharks still happened. It’d essentially just be an extension of the Thundercats and Silverhawks line and idk they’re probably somewhat more recognizable than what’s left in either of those licenses

Like I've said, I do think there is a small handful of stuff I would still commit to in Ultimates - Blackstar would be a hige one, Thundarr, another I couldn't resist at all, Herciloids, I would go hard for a Space Ghost...

But as Ive also said, If they shofted fully to the Deluxe model at a lower price, I'd like that better.

Not only am I hopeful for the TigerSharks, but I'm unrealistically hoping that once they get their shit together, they'll start moving forward again on the Dungeons & Dragons line.

assuming they only want a handful of characters
Weellll... unlike with 'Cats and 'Hawks, every one of the Tigersharks is iconic, so I'll need all seven. But at the same time, I can only think of maybe four villains? Including the giant-sized Dragonstein.

Thundarr, another I couldn't resist at all, Herciloids, I would go hard for a Space Ghost...
Now you're singing my song. Someone needs to starts a Tothverse line.

I just wonder if Super7 has ruined most of its good will at this point (some would probably argue they never had any to begin with) and if it can really launch a new line. I guess if everyone into Silverhawks is yearning for Tiger Sharks then that might be good enough, assuming they only want a handful of characters (I say that as someone who has zero memory of Tiger Sharks so I have no idea who is essential and who is not). If they want to launch a new license, it almost feels like they need one that doesn’t overlap with existing licenses so they can take advantage of a customer base unfamiliar with their product.

I think it's pretty clear they've worn thin with people. You can see it in all the comments everywhere you go. They still have, and always will have, some supporters. Of course. But even then, I think more and more we're seeing people like PC that are like 'I'll buy it because that's the thing I want,' but have largely given up actually trying to defend them. Whereas Super7 used to have a lot of pretty staunch defenders.

Based on comments, my opinion on what happened is that some people were giving them a lot of grace on getting better with time, which they just never did. And eventually everyone had to start dealing with the idea that the quality of Super7 was never changing for the better, so you couldn't really argue anymore that we just gotta give them time and let them figure things out. It gets to the point where 'this IS Super7 quality... is this acceptable?' No more excuses.
The other side was the pricing. Despite quality never getting up to an acceptable level, the prices kept rising. The lies kept building. I think people just got tired of Brian's bullshit. Most people finally gave up on the idea that Super7 is going to be anything but what it is.

Always great to watch some toy person suck Brian's dick on camera. I'm sure it'll be BONKERS.

I feel like Tiger Sharks won’t move enough units to be successful.

Mandora getting re-released is a little odd. I would think the frost lady would get a 2nd run based on how rare she is. Maybe down the road if they’re open to doing re-runs.
