Super 7 Reaction thread

So, Super7 are doing the Visionaries to start things off as Reaction+

They are $25 each, and right now are up for pre order on Entertainment Earth. I'm sure BBTS and others will have them later as well. There are no pictures as of now though.

The first two characters are Darkstorm and Leoric

They showed off De La Soul Reaction figures at Toy Fair. One step closer to finally getting Gorillaz figures! 🤪 Surprised nobody's ever taken a crack at some Gorillaz figures. I don't mean the pre-posed statues that KidRobot and Superplastic gave us, nice as those were.

Has anyone heard when the Visionaries ReAction+ figures will officially go up for pre order? Entertainment Earth had put them up back around Toy Fair but have since taken them down. I guess maybe they jumped the gun on putting them up. I was hoping they'd go up everywhere soon and I could pre order them at BBTS.

How big are these Visionaries figures?

I'd bet the 4H could do a very cool line of homages here.

So if you go to the Super7 website there are two interesting new updates on the front page.

First they are now offering a 1 year membership (Super Shipper) that allows for free shipping (contiguous US only). Of course in true Super7 fashion if you click on the link it comes up with a 404 error page.

Second is "coming soon" an Archive sale on over 200 items that will give Super Shippers early access. Even with their inflated prices I could see a sale on items with free shipping being a draw.

Still lots of questions of course, like how much they think they can charge collectors for "free" shipping.

I don’t think the free shipping/membership thing is new, they started it a few months ago.

This link works for me (shows $28): https://super7.com/products/1-year-free-shipping-membership

Given how much they overcharge on everything, shipping should already be free…

Maybe it comes up as an error for me since I am not in the contiguous US?

$28 doesn't actually sound too bad for free shipping. Are there restrictions around the free shipping (outside of having to be in the contiguous US)?

$28 seems ridiculous to me. That's 7 pile of loot shipments. The only reason to buy direct is to get those bonus headpacks which are usually tied to an entire wave of figures which is something that would ship free if purchased from EE, Amazon, etc. I think they charge around 10 bucks for shipping so you have to purchase at least 3 waves of figures per year to make it pay for itself. That's a lot of mediocre action figures.

Did a quick read, the only restriction noted was that it may not apply for ver large items, Cat’s Lair given as an example.

And you have to pay upfront and hope they don’t go out of business. I’ve only ever ordered direct if something is in stock and on sale.

It's especially ridiculous with that new TMNT wave. If you want the 3 extra portraits you have to get the $150 bike. I paid less (with shipping) for the JoyToy Turtle Van.
