Star Wars TVC Discussion

Wondering what would be everyone's desired HasLabs at this point for the TVC line? Not going to talk prices, but what would be of most interest. For me:

1 - Sandcrawler - I'd be happy with one about the same height as the AT-ATs - technically too small but probably big enough. Add some unmade droids and a few Jawas...or a new Owen and Beru.
2 - Ewok Village - feel like this could be a fun one, with a few trees (think 24" high), platforms, bridges, some more Ewoks to fill in.
3 - Rancor Pit - would need a ceiling that could support the previously released throne room and the palace wall with frozen Han, maybe add a dungeon piece.
4 - Imperial Shuttle - probably the last major spaceship from the OT not yet made? But not really sure I need one.
5 - Death Star - an update of the vintage playset - honestly not sure if this could work, I wonder if they could do a series of Made to Order levels that you could stack (or not) for various spots - like the "bridge" with the conference room, Detention Block with trash compactor, hallways and chasm and so on, and of course Emperor's room.

I like those ideas. I would also like a properly sized U-Wing, and was hoping we'd get one to tie into Andor/release next year in time for Rogue One's 10th anniversary.

U-Wing might be interesting.

One more, I might be tempted by the Naboo Royal Starship...

I purchased a personal grail of mine last week. The Clone Wars Tiger Shark Gunship. It's not 100% complete, but the pictures made it seem like it was only missing a chin gun, and one of the spring loaded missiles. Over the last week, I've been searching for Clones to fit it with. I plan on having ten total for it. Fordo, seven blue ARCs (four with the ARC style rifle, one with a DC15A style rifle, one with the minigun, and one with the quad), and two pilots. I've been driving myself crazy looking for pilots (they aren't cheap anymore). I may wait for the pilot release next year in the TVC line.

This is something I've wanted to do for a very long time, but only in the last few years have I felt comfortable enough spending that much on the Gunship itself, let alone the number of Clones to go in it.

That Tiger Shark one looks so awesome, nice pickup!

So not strictly TVC, but is there anyone here that also saved all the card backs? Should I just recycle these? There's about 150 +/-.

I think I saved a bunch of those. They are in boxes somewhere. When I eventually find them again, I will probably just recycle them. That's what I do with most packaging these days. They are a nice bit of nostalgia to look at though

I held on to a lot of those, but I think I finally recycled them during my last move.

I haven't opened 95% of my TVC collection because of space yet I still keep buying them... but I dread the day I either decide to sell or open them.

Any more word from Hasbro on Cantina delivery? It's been a minute since the window closed to change addresses.

I don't keep those, but I sure do love seeing them like this. Very cool to see how different the styles have been over the years. Funny how they still cant top the OG vintage style cards, they really nailed it there on the first iteration. The OTC cards came close for me with the "little diorama" look though.

So quick review:

This thing really needs a floor - either a mat or the cardboard insert in the box should have been designed to be one. The tops of the pieces need some kind of roof - this looks like a work in progress on the shelf. Especially the bar - it would not cost more plastic to just have the top a sculpted or even a flat top that doesn't show mold lines. So much attention is poured into this so leaving the "seams" so visible is a weird aesthetic choice. The "front door" doesn't click in and that section REALLY needed a finished dome - seeing through to the front door looks super cheap.

The figures themselves look FANTASTIC - I just wish they also came loose because destroying the value of these by opening them is a really hard proposition.

I got home from work tonight to find the big ole Cantina box sitting on the front porch. Apparently, my brother-in-law signed for it, then said (as usual) "Eff him," and left it there all day. At least he didn't put a "Please steal" sign on it (probably because that would involve spelling).

Did you get shipping notices that the cantina was coming? I am traveling this coming week and now concerned it might just appear while no one is around to get it.

I got one email that it was coming and then a text from FedEx that it was coming later *that day*. Luckily, I was able to be there.

Got my Starspeeder 1000 from the Disney Store today from my preorder back on May the 4th. It’s really nice. Not really a TVC item but it’s practically a Haslab. Ironically, my Cantina is scheduled for delivery tomorrow so it’s been quite a week for 3 3/4” Star Wars items.
