Yeah, I was talking about this over in the GI Joe Classifieds thread. But sincerely, it's like every piece of plastic that Hasbro has in their possession is getting shipped out from like last week through November 1st for GI Joe, Marvel, Star Wars, and Transformers. And I feared this day, because everything they have put up for pre order since like June has had a November 1 estimated arrival date. And here we are, almost a month out from November 1st. Some stuff is coming in right now, and it will continue to flood, biblically on all of us until November 1.

It's crazy.


But I am excited about all these Star Wars figures coming. I think I have coming x2 Obi Wan, x2 Ani, x2 Sandtroopers, x2 The Stranger, Dash Rendar, and the re-release of Darth Malgus. All that should ship before or on Nov. 1st. Some really good-looking stuff. But jeez. Thats just Star Wars. I also collect GI Joe and Marvel. God help the poor bastards on here that collect all 4 of Hasbro's big brands in GI Joe, Marvel Star Wars, and Transformers.
 
Oh shit I'm an EGOT! To be fair though the only line I'm all in on is Joe. I skip Bayformers, most MCU, and SW at this point is mostly pick up if I happen to see it territory. I think I only have 4 on preorder.
 
My POL at BBTS is mostly Joes right now, but there are two Star Wars, and one Transformer in there too. If that Maximum Deadpool decides to drop in the next couple of weeks then I'll have the EGOT as well.
 
Moments like this I'm glad I avoided the siren call of Transformers. Overloaded (happily) with Joes with an actually pleasantly reasonable number of Star Wars figures coming in right now and more Marvel than I thought I preordered.
 
I've cut back quite a bit on Star Wars in the last few months. Usually only Clones, and CW adjacent. I've 99% cut out TVC (one in my POL is TVC Ventress), and as for Transformers, I only collect 86 movie stuff...so it's not THAT bad (minus the whole Devestator thing).
 
Gonna ask the experts here - Can I just take the pauldron off the Jedha troopers and let them exist as regular Stormtroopers? Are the details correct? It doesn't matter that much to me, but I've been seeing them on clearance for $12.49 or so. Can't pass on a deal like that.

Yes. I did that for a little while then had to cut down on troopers, heh. I think some of the colors were a little off, like the lens color and the ab details, but as far as I can remember it was the same exact sculpt as the latest standard Stormtrooper (and now used for the Sandtrooper, with some changes, and parts of the Task Force 99/Scar Squad guys (whom I REALLY hope Hasbro gets back to damnit).
 
It's crazy, because I did collect Transformers for a bit. I was buying them during the War for Cybertron Trilogy. Between that line and some of the Studio Series figures from the 80's Cartoon film, I got all the characters I needed in the looks I wanted for the most part to cover all the characters I remembered from the cartoon in the 80's. So, after that, I quit. Then went into GI Joe Classifieds. So, I missed the EGOT. I don't think I ever really collected all 4 at once.


I'm really excited about that upcoming Palpatine vs Windu Office Dual 2 Pack. I hope I can get one on Pulse. I'd honestly like to have two.
 
I'd have to imagine the odds are probably pretty good of Palpatine being released individually in the future, it's just a matter of what he won't come with on the single release. I think ultimately I really just want a plain Palpatine with his lightsaber. Obviously the gnarly melted face is cool and iconic, but we've gotten a fair amount of melty Palpy, so I don't feel like I'm missing anything if I can only get one set or if the single release doesn't come with an alternate head.

I am hopeful that's the case. Since that's what Hasbro seems to do with their exclusives. The exclusive comes out loaded with extras, then they release the character or characters from the exclusive again individually in the regular releases with less accessories.

But I REALLY want Office Dual Palpatine. I really want regular faced Ian McDiarmid as Sidious. I will not be denied. And the fact I will not be denied makes me scared Hasbro won't stick to their usual exclusive protocol thus denying me. Son of a bitch!
 
Picked up Anakin today as he finally hit EB.

Really great likeness. I now understand why my sister and girlfriend at the time had the hots for him. The detailing is fantastic. Love the Black Series articulation direction. This new softer plastic rubber whatever that they're using is perfect.

What is kind of cheap and typically Hasbro though is the reuse. This is just the same saber that they've used with Luke and Rey in the past like, come on. Give him his own saber.
 
I only have the AotC Anakin, and as I mentioned in a previous post, this is my first RotS Anakin. I really don't feel like they're nailing Christensen's likeness. Maybe it's just a tough one to pin. Maybe I'm expecting something that emotes more. The sculpt looks soft to me, very docile. No intensity. Not a lot of personality. The figure itself is great, love the articulation and material improvements. But that face is almost like a baby face.
