Star Wars Black Series

I agree that Luminara seems a bit too pale. Maybe she had a bad Ronto Wrap and isn't feeling too good. It's a small nitpick though, I do quite like her overall; even the softgoods don't trip me up- I agree, there really wasn't any other way to do her outfit. Even a softer plastic would've looked all wrong. I'm still just really stoked to have her without feeling like I'm committing a crime (wasn't allowed to have female action figures growing up- long story). The old ROTS figure used to always pop apart at the waist, so I keep expecting this one to do the same, but I'm very glad she isn't! :ROFLMAO:

I'm really, really looking forward to Shaak Ti too. Amazon updated her as arriving Tuesday for me. She may very well be my most anticipated one in a while; not sure what it is, but there's just something about Shaak Ti that I've always loved. All her many deaths? Her awesome fight against Grievous in the OG Clone Wars? How little she was in the CG Clone Wars, so there's still some mystery to her? Her regal-ness? Whatever it is, I'm excited that finally Ahsoka won't be the only Togruta on the shelf!

Sebulba is still listed for July, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him get delivered sooner. Guess it depends how long it takes him to fix up his podracer.

Sorry for the double post, but I hadn't realized we got through Hasbro's Celebration panel and there's still no word on a Stranger figure. Celebration would've been the perfect time to announce one if they were doing him. I know there was that leaked possible factory part a month or so ago, but come on, Hazzie! Where's our Stranger?! I think the only figure-esque thing I've seen of him is one of those little foam keychain things, which just feels so wrong.

It sounds like Darth Talon will be Darth Mauls apprentice in the Maul: Shadow Lord show.

So, hopefully that means we will finally get a Darth Talon figure. I will always think of Talon as Darth Krayte's apprentice, but it's neat they are doing this. Since it was George Lucas who was going to have Talon be Mauls apprentice in his Sequel trilogy.

I'll take it, and still really appreciate Black Series does animated figures in a realistic style for us. I don't even know where I'll put her on the shelves (before the OT people, like with the show, or at the very end of my last shelf, since mine are arranged chronologically and she could go at the end as a Legacy character...), but I'll definitely get her. I only have one Maul anymore, the non-robed one they released singlely, so I wouldn't mind another of him either.

Lastly, yes, still would like a Stranger.

I guess it's not 100% confirmed it's Darth Talon, so I wanted to come back and say that. I guess it just shows Maul take a young, red, female, Twi'lek as his apprentice.

I have to think she is Talon, but I guess it's not just outright said.

Still........I want a Talon figure.

I am surprised too they didn't show The Stranger. But I am pretty sure he is still coming. I hope so. he was definitely the character I wanted most from that show.

Saw the new Andor at Target tonight on a birthday gift run for my nephew. If I hadn't got shipping soon notice from Pulse I'd have been buying for myself tonight too.

The Visions two-pack from Star Wars Celebration just shipped already. This might be the fastest a figure went from "man, I bet I'll never own that one" to "in my hands" in a long time.

For me it's the quickest journey from "Oh, I bet the Missus would like that" to "Oh, it's exclusive to Japan" to "Oh, it was actually up on Amazon 15 hours ago but has obviously since old out."

I need to get better at following toy lines I only follow because my wife and kids like them.

Honestly, it was one of those "can't believe my eyes" things I saw Preternia post. I bought it without even verifying it was legit or not and then backtracked to make sure it wasn't a knockoff or something. (Fortunately I'm on social media for work so I tend to see stuff in real time, even if it's killing my soul otherwise.)

My Visions set is out for delivery today (but will probably get dropped off tomorrow, with how my building is). I'd totally forgotten about it until the post went up a few days ago, and yeah, I'm surprised how quickly it shipped out. Usually Hasbro's Celebration offerings are still months away from being ready, even with figures that are just repaints like their ROTJ Vader from a few years back.

I didn't love all of Visions, admittedly, but I did like the Ronin one a lot. I figured the black and white version is the best, since that's how the episode was, and I'm kinda hoping that whatever single-packed version they release down the road doesn't look good or has something that bothers me, since I don't want to double-dip or have my own Sophie's Choice. I've finally been breaking through that decision paralysis with figures lately, so I need to maintain my streak.

Edited to add- I just saw that Bandai is doing Kelleran Beq in the Figuarts line. Really hope we get him in Black Series; looks like he'd be a super easy reworking of the standard Jedi robes. I know it's probably been asked to death, but how do Figuarts scale with Black Series? I know they're similar enough, but is the difference in quality that noticeable between the two when side by side?

Yeah, I don't love every Visions story enough for figures, but the Twins, the Elder, the Ronin were all ones I'd love figures from (I'm always tempted to pick up the Twins from Figuarts). Ronin showed up this morning but won't have time to unbox him til tonight because of the holiday, but really fun to have a Celebrations figure this fast, especially when I'd totally resigned myself to waiting a few years for a singles version.

Somehow I've been familiar with him since the 1990s despite never actually playing Shadows of the Empire. He always struck me as a Han Solo character clone, but I have no real idea if that's right.
Basically. He was a Han substitute for the story set between ESB and ROTJ.

I always felt like Dash was Han with charisma as his dump stat, but that's just me. "We need a scoundrel smuggler pilot to fill this role, but don't make him TOO likable because Han will be back and this guy will need to peace out."
