Star Wars Black Series

Good point about Bespin Luke; he definitely does need an update. Far from the worst of the line, but can certainly benefit from some improvements. I wonder if they're ever going to release Dagobah Luke in a single card. Not one I need, since I have the awesome 2 pack, but for folks who skipped it (which they shouldn't have- it's a fantastic set). The Ugnaughts are another ESB figure I'd be down for, but after we get Lobot.

Somehow totally missed the shipping email for my SM-33, who should be here tomorrow from Amazon. Excited to have him; feels like a relatively fast turnaround, even though it's been about half a year. While I do think they've done all the totally necessary characters, I'd still love to see another figure or two from Skeleton Crew- at least Kh'ymm, who, after Skoova Stev and Turgle, actually feels like she's a possibility now, however slight.

While on the topic of Skeleton Crew, I did order Jod's lightsaber from an Etsy seller, and it really helps the figure pop a bit. The gold for the High Republic sabers is a really nice change of pace from the primarily silver normal ones. Really sturdy saber too; he fell over once or twice while trying to pose, and even though he fell saber-first, there's no damage, which is more than can be said for the majority of Hasbro's sabers.
Be careful with the paint. Mine came off by just him holding it. The hand plastic pulled it off. Otherwise it is a really cool saber.

Just a couple quick in hand shots.

She's got the boot rotation and the ball joint wrists. Everything is buttery smooth, but the wrists did take a little bit of pushing to get the dynamic angle that looks good with a weapon. No photo of that.

For me, execution wise from the source, I think this must be one of their best offerings this year.

I bet the Clone Wars figure mentioned is a Jedi too. There have been rumors of both Pong Krell and Quinlan Vos. So, the Clone Wars slot could end up going to one of them. For TPM, there are just so many characters I want. Obviouslly, more Padme/Queen Amidala. But Panaka, Ric Ollie, Tarpals, Boss Nass, Vallorum, Sio Bibble, Nute Gunray, Rune Hako. I'll stop now. But you get my point. But I can't wait to see what TPM character is.

For the Attack of the Clones 2 spots, we already know Jango Fett is coming, so I assume that those 2 spots are in addition to him. I wish one of them was Zam Wessel.

That Merrin figure turned out great!

Vintage Collection did it, so let's not forget that Black Series still needs ice cream maker guy.

Appreciate the warning! I don't honestly know if it is painted or 3D printed; it definitely doesn't feel like the traditional kind of paint; it's gotten a fair amount of use while I've been posing him, and it's been holding up quite well (knock on wood). But I'll definitely be mindful.

SM-33 is a lot of fun. Definitely glad they included the stand; he doesn't need it, per se, but he definitely benefits from it. There's some really great sculpt and wash work. My only nits are that the swappable gauntlets/disc thingies can pop out pretty easily, and that little mouse guy is almost too small- he feels destined to be lost. I'm still not entirely sure I have him put in properly, but he at least feels somewhat sturdy in the hole. I'd almost have preferred a swappable head with him permanently sculpted in, though. Otherwise, really great figure. A nice middle-ground between C-3P0 and K2, at least size-wise.

I'm sure we'll see the Stranger revealed soon (probably at SDCC), and I'm excited to get that figure. But I was watching someone on YouTube go through the Acolyte visual dictionary and there was interesting information about the character.

It seems, that he is his own Sith. Darth Plageuis is NOT his Master. It seems The Stranger thinks like the Jedi and that the Sith are dead. And it feels like he believes he is starting/beginning them again, unaware that Plageuis is in the shadows and the Sith never did die out.

It makes since The Stranger thinks like the Jedi, as it gave the impression through the show that maybe he once was a Jedi, perhaps even Vernestra's Padawan.

But I like the idea he isn't connected to Plagueis and might not even know he's out there. Meanwhile, Plagueis is watching him, and now Osha.

So Plagueis is just creeping on him in his own cave? That scene was already weird.
I know, right! I hope Plagueis gets them and experiments on them. I could see him being very interested in Osha (and Mae) due to their unique birth and creation by the Force and Witches. Since Plagueis' obsession is learning how to cheat death itself.

I also wonder if Plagueis is alone at this point, or if he has an Apprentice. Lesley Headland in an interview made it seem that Plagueis' Master is dead. That would be Darth Tenebrous. Based on the old Legends material, Tenebrous should be dead at the time of the Acolyte, and it sounds like Disney/Lucasfilm kept to that for Canon.

I hope we get a Darth Plagueis figure soon. I can make him kill Osha, Mae, and the Stranger myself. You think Plagueis in another guy's cave is creepy. Just wait until I have my toy of him capture 3 wanna be Sith toys and tortures and experiments on them in my toy room surrounded by Scooby Doo's as I laugh maniacally.

Man, first Ezra and the Night Trooper got pushed to September 1 on Pulse. And now, sure enough, the rest of the Wave got pushed to September 1st as well. As I got notices Chewie, Han, and Merrin have also been delayed. It's no big deal, but I am surprised. People have been finding this Wave or getting orders in from elsewhere throughout June. And I think the Wave was being found outside the US in May.

Yeah, I've had my Han in my 'pile of loot' with a Canadian retailer for at least a couple of weeks already.

I think Hasbro stashed the stock destined for US stores because of and during the tariffs. It's either on a boat now or hidden away somewhere until the mess clears.

Which sucks because I want Han!!!
