Star Wars Black Series

Got Dooku today and I like the cut of his jib. I did think he was absurdly tall at first (Maul looks like such a short arse in comparison!) but admittedly forgot Christopher Lee was a whopping 6'5". Might give him one of Sheev's spare lightning hands when I've got a moment.

I think we both know the nicer part of marriage is that whenever I want, for whatever reason I want, I can get my wife to fuck.... ing make me a lasagna. That is what marriage is all about.

My wife hates G.I. Joe, so my mission now is to find a Joe character she likes and add it to my Classified collection. Also really need Hasbro to stop pissing around and make a full fancy dress Queen Amidala, as that is one of my wife's very favorite things in Star Wars, for whatever reason.

Before my wife got sick, she used to hit up stores constantly and she'd keep a list of everything I'm looking for on her phone and would call me if she found something to see if I caved and was willing to get it at full price or wanted to wait and see if it goes on sale. Haha.

Ditto. Well, actually, TRU has a lot of new Black Series as well. But only if you're willing to pay the proprietary TRU 35% markup.
 
So, now that Bariss is coming, I do believe we've got all the parts in rotation to make a Clone Wars Cartoon Ventress. The black and white look.

And I quite hope we get that. The current Ventress just never hit the mark for me and I sold mine. If I could get that B&W look or the Bad Batch one, I think I'd hang on to those.
 
I actually bought an extra of the current Ventress to try to doctor up to be more like the Clone Wars version and never did. the existing figure is good enough for me if we don't get another but dammit, we got like five Cad Banes? Asajj is the best, she deserves all her looks. Probably my favorite character to emerge from the animates series across all the stories.
 
Hot take! :) Mine is Ahsoka - her arc from S1 to the Clone Wars series finale is incredible. I love what they did with her and the final four episodes are incredible - peak SW, for me.

Never watched Rebels and have issues with where they took her character in live-action (just so dour), but Clone Wars Ahsoka - so good.

Honestly, the animated shows have far, far more contestants for best story arcs and character developments than most of the live action stuff. Ventress, Ahsoka, Echo...
 
I love the animated shows. I honestly feel like Rebels is every bit as good as Clone Wars. I think that's why I liked the live action Ahsoka show so much, is because of how much I enjoyed Rebels.

But that show (Ahsoka) was really banking on the fact that people watched and enjoyed Rebels. And I don't know how much of the fandom actually watched Rebels. So, it never surprises me when folks didn't get or like Ahsoka if they never saw Rebels. And it seemed like maybe a lot of Star Wars fans didn't watch Rebels.

I often say on here I want them to make all the characters that had Hasbro POTF2 figures into Black Series figures. But lately, I have really wanted a couple specific figures. I'd love for Hasbro to make the POTF2 Expanded Universe Clone Emperor, Dark Side Luke, Jedi Leia, and Kyle Katarn. I would love to have Black Series figures of them sooner rather than later.

Hopefully it's possible, seeing how we've got so many POTF2 Shadows of the Empire figures. Hopefully Hasbro can just move over to that Expanded Universe subset.
 
Random question. anyone still seeing the white holiday Ewok anywhere? I know it's long gone, but maybe there have been sightings at discount stores. Had an idea for a custom but don't want to pay full price for ewok.
 
Man, I reeeeeeally hope they continue doing that squad!

Meanwhile, the Sandtrooper had sold out on Amazon and I decided I might like to add more to the two I'd preordered. Ultimately, I want seven (two of each color and one without a pauldron, for the docking bay 94 lineup), but I was kinda holding out for them to do real versions with the black and the white pauldrons. Then Amazon got them in again so I ordered one more. I have a black and a white pauldon right now, so that means I can just have one of each color. Then Amazon got them in again so I ordered a fourth to be the naked guy. If the preorder opens up again, I kinda fear for myself though...
 
Our very own Mr. Robo Killington did a review of Han and Chewie. They look great. I didn't get a great idea from the video of what the wrist ROM is like on Han, though. Besides that, I'm pretty excited for these to be my main display versions of those characters, as I'm not really into getting the imports and such.
Although, I have to say, that SHF R2 does look like... a fucking lot better than Black Series. Still like my Black Series one, though. I'm happy enough with that.
 
Feels like it's been a lil slow on the Star Wars front lately but just got shipping soon notifications for Ezra and the Night Trooper from Pulse. I was bummed they went with "grown Ezra in his same pants" for the first version of him from Ahsoka - I liked "beardy, kinda zen, vibing the Jedi thing" Ezra from later on in the series a lot. Looking forward to this figure in particular.
 
I got the e-mails for Ezra and Night Trooper as well. It's funny, it says in the shipping soon e-mail that they will ship September 1st lol. Thats not exactly soon. But I know they will probably ship this month or early next. I wonder if the rest of the Wave will come in in that timeframe as well.

EDIT. Looking at the e-mail, it might not be that Ezra and Night Trooper are shipping soon. Because the e-mail states we are receiving it for one of two reasons.

Either 1 that the item will ship soon or 2 that the ship date for a pre order has changed. Since it says Ezra and Night Trooper now have an ETA of September 1, maybe they did get pushed back.

I kind of doubt it though, as people have been reviewing this entire Wave online for about a month now.
