Star Wars Black Series

I didn’t dislike my name, per se, but it has a nickname I hate and is linked to one of my earliest experiences with dealing with the dead body of someone I cared about, and the worst people I knew insisted on calling me that, especially because it referenced a popular Saturday Night Live character (“It’s Pat!”). I mostly quit high school football because they were bizarre homophobic misogynist apes who wanted me to quit martial arts, but it was at least partly because the jackass coaches would not stop calling me “Pat”.

I don't think I'm getting Zeb, but he looks great. Weirdly I really like that mercenary droid, but having not seen the movie I'm not sure if that's really a character or just a faceless goon (assuming the latter).

Mostly pleased with the livestream. I think the only real surprise was the new IG-12. Can't say it was on my want list, and I can't say it's on my must have list. But hey, it was a much better sculpt than the original IG-88.

The Snowtrooper looks nice. Cool that they're doing something akin to the Hoth and Endor trooper with the swappable parts. Might get 2, if only to have 1 regular Snowtrooper for the OT shelf and one Remnant

Zeb looks good. I do wish the other head was a bit more mean looking instead of a kinda "do you smell that?" face, but at least they're giving us swappable heads at all for once!

Mercenary Droid looks really nice. Just such a cool, fun design. If they were already doing swappable heads for Snowie and Zeb, I wish they could've done one here too, but this B-1 seems to be the one they're using for most of the marketing and such. Hope we see at least one or two more- the Super Battle Droid getting a TVC figure is promising. But hey, if nothing else, it's money saved. I only feel the need to army build in the sense that I'd want one of each design, but not multiple, per se.

Grogu looks cute. Love that they're bringing back the tiny little box. At the very least, there feels like enough new parts to warrant it this time around. Hopefully it won't be the same price as the others, but I'm expecting it to be.

Embo is the winner of the wave for me, though. Wish they could've done the mix of softgoods and plastic like they did for TVC, but I'm just happy to finally have him. Such a cool design and such presence. Wouldn't surprise me to see a deluxe version some time in the future with his pet either.

I could take or leave the First Edition boxes, but I'm happy for the in-box collectors who want that continuity. Sounds like we'll have another livestream in just a few weeks, and a busy June. With the specific mention of Father's Day (though sounds like the stream would be before then) I wonder if that's when they'll reveal the theoretical Rotta, given how much he mentioned his father in the movie.

Definitely want Embo and a couple of those Remnant Snowtroopers. I don't know about Zeb and IG. I have Rebels Zeb and the other IG releases. So, I don't know if I have to have them. But maybe.

I'm going to try to see the movie tomorrow. maybe that will change my mind.

I need @Ru1977

Is there anything stopping from the remnant Snowtrooper with the alternate helmet options from just being a straight-OT Snowtrooper?

Surprised at no Sigourney in TVC. The TVC wave had a really nice assortment of colors.

These also look good. I wouldn't be surprised if subsequent waves just swap the droids - Super in TBS and B-1 in TVC.

Really surprised at the continued lack of Anzellans. Putting them in with Grogu would have made total sense. "Horrible baby."

Probably not a surprise but I am pretty excited about these. I will get all of these Black Series figs. I love the surprises of the alternate helmet gear for the Snowtrooper. IG-11 final version was a surprise. I like adding to the display with Greef Carga and his droid. Granted Greef Carga figure isn’t the season three look. Anyway, a nice surprise.

Embo and Zeb look very good. I like the accessories. The sculpt and articulation is very nice. Yes I want the wolf. It’s a challenge where I will find one but a challenge I accept. I’m also not broken up that Rotta wasn’t shown. I’m sure it’s still coming.

Thwipp!

I've been interested in Embo since Clone Wars, he'll look good on that shelf with Cad Bane.

But is it just me, or does IG-11 look  too articulated? My favorite thing about him in Mandalorian is how much like a puppet he looked. Dynamic action poses seem wrong.
