Star Wars Black Series

You're probably right. But I just wanted the figures, and they were fine. So, I hate to do it. Also, Hasbro Pulse has been very good to me in the very, very few times they've ever messed up.

I got second hand emotional distress just reading your account of this incident. It sounds almost as bad as having to extricate a loved one from a crumpled and wrecked car when you don't even have the jaws of life. Demand justice for your emotions!

On a whim, I bought a used/loose Jedi cloak off ebay (I think it was from Master Sol) to stick on Kit Fisto, as he's the only male Jedi who doesn't seem to have a version with a soft goods cloak.

It fits. IT LOOKS GREAT. I know ti's just hte same body as the other Jedi but dang he looks nice all formal-wear'd up.

Thats why I always hope all the Acolyte Jedi end up at Ollies or something. I bought all the Acolyte Jedi when they came out. But if they were $10 a piece at Ollies, I'd buy a few extra for all the extra robes and Lightsabers.

That's a great idea for Kit Fisto. It drives me nuts that he doesn't have a cloak. (Aayla Secura not so much ...) I was thinking of grabbing a custom cloak but I'm sure we'll be seeing Acolyte figures showing up cheap somewhere in the coming months.

I was able to find a stray black series cloak on eBay for ten bucks - probably could've found an old Jedi wearing one for the same price, but I figured I'd rather not have a duplicate figure I don't need kicking around. (Same on Aayla - I don't remember seeing her in a cloak in any media so I don't think I'll run one down.)

Been curious about cloaking up ol' Kit. Don't think I have an extra full cloak, but I did take the sleeveless cloak off Jabiim Obi-Wan and I've had it lying around for a while; may see how that looks on Kit. Obviously won't be the full office duel look, but maybe a sorta hybrid.

I'll post some pics of cloaked Kit in a bit. I was worried his head-tails would get in the way, but they drape over the back of the cloak just fine. Obviously can't use the hood, but that was expected.

Welp, I'm all Andor'd up for now. Cass, Bix, B2, Luthen, Mon, Vel, Saw, Dedra, and the R1 gang too. Just need a Krennic, and for Hasbro to do Kleya, Wil, Melshi, and Cinta.

I also picked up the Bandai K2 today, who's equal parts cool and terrifying:

Got the new Cody from Walmart - he's a clone, so nothing crazy new about him (the holdable hologram is a nice touch) but it's fun to have a version of Cody who can take his helmet off. Always drives me nuts when a named clone has an unremovable helmet.

Found a lone ROTS R2 at Wally World yesterday, so I went ahead and snagged him...even though I'm so broke I can't pay attention. It's nice to have him in my prequel display, as I've only had the Figuarts version of him, and he stays in the OT display. I love that he has the rockets, but I do with he came with some sort of flight stand. Guess I'll have to steal one from another figure.

I broke down and got the new Farmboy Luke when I noticed him at the store even though I promised myself I wouldn't even go to the toy aisle.

Anyway.. he's really good and everyone already knows that. I wish they'd engineered him to make use of his wrist articulation like they did with the new 4" version, though.

I did too. The first BS purchase after significantly pairing down my BS figures last year. Showing my 5 and 7 year old girls the OT for the first time is drawing me back.

This one is not perfect, they still can't nail that Hamill likeness, but it's the best farm boy by far for this price point. I'm a soft goods guy, but that tunic they were using the first time around wasn't working even a little bit. This is a welcome upgrade. I also got the Leia and I'm eyeing up that incoming Han.

I'd argue this is the best Farmboy Luke in this relative scale ever. I actually like it more than the SHF. I've given up on a truly great likeness - he's just got one of those faces, it seems. For me it was watching Andor with my wife that really gave me the Star Wars itch again, right in time for all these awesome upgrades to the main ANH cast. I definitely want Han and Chewie. I also really want Leia, but I've been unable to find her locally since passing on her a couple of times when she first came out. Stupid me.
