Why do I have Jar Jar? I didn't even have a Jar Jar when I had a huge 1:18 collection.
I did fall off after Jar Jar, though. I never got Anakin or that really horribly-painted Padme. And I was never -able- to find the Destroyer Droid. After that, I basically gave up, so I also didn't get Sebulba. Also didn't get the STAPP because it's too small, and I never bought any Battle Droids because I don't trust them to stay standing.
So if my wife and I do really get into the TPM stuff, I'd have a lot of catching up to do and I'd hate myself even more.
 
Black Series Jar Jar was executed so well, better than it had any right to be executed. I think that figure alone got me back into buying Prequel Black Series figures. He and Aurra Sing were just done really well. First it was jedi, then the destroyer droid got me into getting one of each droid, but one of those droids came in a 2pk with a clone, so I started buying clones. Thanks a lot, Jar Jar.

Yeah, they did that Theed Escape version. I was actually kind of excited to grab that one until it turned out the face looked like the figure came out at the beginning of the line rather than in the year of our fluffy lord 2024(?).

I was fortunate enough to be able to find that escape Padme in person at GameStop, and I could look through copies to see which had the best face print. It wasn't easy, but I eventually found one. It's not a great figure, but it fills a void in the TPM display.

I've seen... maybe a dozen of her in person at various EBs and I've never seen one that didn't look fairly shit. So you're definitely fortunate.
 
It's the hairline on her that stops her from being great. I ended up with six at the time of release in my house and got to choose the best. I had plans! :) Most got returned.

There's one or two guys on Instagram who make 3D printed Padme costumes and I want ALL OF THEM. Getting a bunch of those to paint as a massive project sounds like fun, if I had money or time. I'll make the space.
 
The hairline on Padme was definitely an issue, but I can’t look past misplaced eyes. So that’s what I prioritized in my search.

Red Dress Amidala would heal something in me, I just know it would. But then, yes, we better start getting some bodyguards- Panaka and/or Typho

Which would then immediately get ripped open again by the sheer arachnophobia of Spider Maul. If nothing else, though, I'm curious how that would look. I think I saw the rumored price was $80, which doesn't feel all that bad?
