Snow C.A.T. Live!

I almost feel stressed out by eBay sales over a certain dollar amount, like I'm holding my breath waiting for the positive feedback. That's why I never bothered buying extra Haslabs or purchasing a Rattler to only keep the figures. If I sell a Hot Toy or statue, at least I enjoyed it while I had it.

A hundred times this. I've never actually been screwed over as a seller but I cannot be content or count the money from a bigger sale until I see positive feedback. I'm always worried the post office threw the package of a truck or I'm dealing with an unscrupulous buyer.

I've actually reached out to the seller on a couple occasions to make sure everything was OK when they didn't leave feedback after a week or so of receiving the item.

Unless it's an international buyer, which I now love. Once it clears eBay's US shipping center, it's all good. They handle any issues with the buyer.

Totally understand it. Shoot I am stressed right now because I have three packages I shipped and USPS lost them for a week found all three in Puerto Rico (no one at USPS knows why they ended up there) and now a week later they still have not arrive to the buyers. Thankfully the buyers seem to be real understanding so far but this entire thing has been a mess for me.

I typically sell my old stuff to either make room or fund new stuff or it’s to pay for something for the family (normally unexpected expenses). I never buy with the intent of selling.

I had the same issue with a package ending up in Puerto Rico. It was either last year or the year before, I shipped from Connecticut to Miami. Mistakes happen, but it was like PR was holding onto the package until I filed a claim. I remember the transit time from PR to Miami took a long time.

I got a Return Request last night for an item that has not even arrived to the buyer yet - it shipped Monday. I asked why, no response, so I declined the return and hope that's that. All of my listings are "No Returns Accepted" to avoid exactly that shit.

Randomly, I also just shipped something to PR and the buyer said it was the longest he's ever had a package take to get to him. Like it was my fault.

Got paid today and paid off the Credit Cards and HOLY SHIT that avalanche of preorders wiped me out including money I had set aside for this. Now it's the battle of my desire vs. my wallet as I watch the backer count. This is high drama.

7,520 / 8,000 (+33) 94% of funding goal with 13d 18h left.

Finally past 7,500 backers. I'm hoping that this funds with at least 4-5 days left to give the tiers a better chance of unlocking.

You weren’t kidding about the daily drop in the morning. Not that I ever doubted you. I just didn’t pick up on it until you mentioned it. It’s down to 7506 right now.

Really hoping we get a Friday payday bump that gets this funded and then another bump of backers seeing that it is funded. I want the snow cat but my bigger wants are Jaye, Flint and the bivouac. I definitely will start to question backing this if we get to the last day and none of the extra tiers are unlocked.

If the tiers don’t get unlocked, at least the figures are nonessential. We have these characters already. But no tiers will make this the worst value HasLab ever, and I don’t need just the vehicle and driver for that price. Pretty sure my purchase will wind up being part of those daily number drops soon.

Over on Yakface I read that those mysterious early morning drops have cost this campaign 600 backers so far, which if that is true, this would already have funded. Really curious what those are about now. Do they have to manually remove any cancelled orders? Is something skewing numbers higher than reality and it’s a resync of sorts?

As mentioned earlier, if this barley funds and doesn’t hit any tiers it will be quite rare and ironically probably a better investment than any previous Classified Haslab. People always want what they can’t have haha. I just wish Jaye was tier 2 now and the campsite was tier 1. Getting Jaye without Flint would be weird. If we could just get the campsite and all of the food items in tier 1 I would be satisfied with that and could wait for a later release of Flint and Jaye.

I really wish Hasbro has a way for us to buy tiers if they don’t get met. They’re free if we hit the goal but $25 each as an add on if we don’t. Not sure if that would improve backer numbers but I’d pay the extra to not miss out on anything. Still needing a Cantina Werewolf announcement after the Cantina fell short of that last goal. They did say only the car backs weee exclusive on those tiers which means fully planned on releasing those tiers on alternate cards after the campaign. Hopefully that holds true.

Yeah, the Jay without Flint thing would endlessly bug me. I wonder if the bivouac at tier one would motivate people last minute. I also wonder if people are hesitant to back now because they DON'T want Jaye without Flint? It's both smart to make tiers a matched pair of characters (motivating people to buy) versus a bad decision (If you don't get both, you feel like you only get half of what you need). My first reaction when they announced the tiers was "I'll be pissed if this only gets to tier 3."

I'm sure others here have worked far more intensely on backend website stuff, but I have got to believe that the consistent overnight drop in backers is some sort of code fuckery. It's too consistent to be an even number of humans canceling the order. I'd put cash money on a bet that it's someone's job every morning to be like "Why TF is this HAPPENING" and fixing it over and over again. I feel like I've seen ghost orders at previous clients like that before over the years.

I’m one of those people, who, if Lady Jaye gets unlocked but Flint doesn’t, I’ll cancel.

I'd wager you're MORE likely to get the figures whether or not the tiers fund. Hasbro's already sculpted them, and if Mephisto and Hellstrom have taught us anything it's that Hasbro wont leave money uncollected upon. If neither Flint/Jaye fund I'd assume you'll get them in a 2pk at some point. The arctic tent I'd wager likely gets stuffed in with some other arctic character people want.

I'm increasingly seeing Haslabs as FOMO paper tigers given the other options they've employed to get the same product out there at a later date. Plus they're not paying any licensing on GI Joe stuff obviously.
