Snow C.A.T. Live!

Nearly halfway to the minimum already. Sneaking suspicion this one's going to fund.

Looks nice. The bivouac is really neat and I'd appreciate more of that kind of thing in this line. The Snowcat itself looks like it might be up there as the best vehicle so far. But is it something I want for my display? I'm not so sure... it pretty much warrants it's own display/diorama set up and that's a big commitment! I need a detolf that fits these things lol. I hope they figure out a base or way to display the missile launcher alone since I'd likely use the "troop carrier" setup. They hinted at it but nothing concrete.

I can see people taking this Lady Jaye head for their old versions. Pretty much guarantees we won't get a new Lady Jaye until 2027 at the soonest. Love that all three figures have headsets; honestly you could release every single Classified with an alt head donning a toque and headset and I'd eat it up.

EDIT: We really need Arctic Snake Eyes!

Do I have the space for something like this? No.
Do I own any other HasLabs? No.
Do I have a large/robust Classified collection? No.
Am I going to buy this? Yeah. Goddamn it. I am.

I honestly think it looks amazing. Incredible update to one of my favorite Joe vehicles. And, to be fair, I've always had a soft spot for winter-themed stuff. I was borderline in on this the moment they hinted at it. But seeing it is a whole other deal. Everything is so good here. Even the frost decal on the glass. Awesome.

I do have a few complaints/suggestions if anyone is going to SDCC:

The stones for the campfire look a bit Playmobil there. They really need a black/brown wash.

The figures NEED extra hands. Like, I'm begging for this. If the pitch on this item is that it's as much diorama/playset as it is vehicle, we need gesturing hands (pointing, waving, flat), tighter gripping hands for those skewers (you KNOW the regular Joe hands won't hold those properly), and more open gripping hands for the cups. The vehicle is the star, of course, but giving the figures that extra oomph of display/photo readiness with more than just the standard c-grips is really important.

It would be great if the rocket launcher could stand on its own when not in the CAT. So it can be set up like a fixed missile turret when the CAT is being used in APC mode. That way we can still display the different parts and go even more all-in on the temporary defended camp/bivouac set-up.

But yeah... goddamn. I already told the wife that the toy budget just blew up. Kicking myself for never getting Snowjob now, though. Maybe we'll get a re-issue timed to the HL ship date.

The Snowcat was my first ever vehicle, if you don't count the Chameleon. I am never gonna be able to back this, and the last of space is another big issue, but it's REALLY cool and I'm excited to see it even if it means I should probably cross Frostbite off my wishlist.

The end of the Cobra Commander video hinted at a white Hiss and Weather Dominator. Could just be tongue in cheek or possibly real hints. I’m a little surprised the MASS device didn’t happen with that little MASS device beat with Breaker, divers, and Snake Eyes and Polar Bear.

Lenny said something about that when they took it off in the video. Sounds like that's still a work in progress, but the model was wonky.

I assume the upcomming Steel Corps figure will fill some similar niche. It's wild and awesome that we're getting anything like a playset in this scale.

TBF, a Smowcat wouldn't even fit in a Detolf. It'll just barely fit in the wider Billy bookshelves.

There's some spare space in between the benches beneath it where, if you were a clever designer, you could probably store a leg or tread assembly of some kind.

I think he was referring specifically to how it connects/disconnects to/from the benches. Not to making it stand on its own as a separate piece.

I'd be in a lot of trouble if they did a white HISS and a Weather Dominator.

This thing looks amazing.

I've got a HISS and Dragonfly still in their original shipping boxes, and a Rattler on the way. I bought them thinking the space would be available sooner or later, but that hasn't happened. And as of the beginning of this year I've pretty much stopped buying Classified after being (nearly) a completionist. Partially because of space, but also to cut down the figure budget. They would go and make the best looking Haslab yet just as I was trying to get out of the line.

The Snow Cat looks amazing! It's huge. Tons of features (stowage, personnel carrying option, the kitchen) are great. I like the unlock figures and bivouac. Just lots of goodness.

I will gladly display your HISS and Dragonfly at my house until you need them. No charge.

There was another complaint I had (of course, right?) during the reveal, but I wanted to separate it out as a different post because it's legitimately a me problem, and not something I would ever ask/expect the team to alter at this point: Lotta broooown in those stretch goal figures. Such a stupid complaint, but there it is. Would have really hoped for more winter-colored stuff here, rather than just winter-themed, if that makes sense.

Looks beautiful.

Where do people put all of their Haslabs once they have them? Do you have room?
