Selling Toys - Horror Stories & "Happy" Customers

.

Cut to today- 2 whole weeks later, and I get a message from the original guy: "I saw the listing is no longer available? I guess you gave it to someone else, huh? That's pretty shitty, when I had first dibs and we worked out a deal."
Yeah, I've had these people. I like to leave it I responded to and see how unhinged it gets over time as they keep messaging.

You got to make it look like you got mugged or something while you were sending it.

Speaking of, today's moment.

Selling figures. Last night guy offers me under what I'm asking. I had just listed it so it's too early for adjusting price. I tell him I'm sticking with full. He then sends me 20 pictures of items to trade.

No trades.

Okay, he'll pay cash. But I was done with internet for the night so I left it there.

In the morning he asks if we can meet and where. I tell him where I want to meet. He gives me two other options, both of which are not convenient to me. I told him the pickup is the pickup.

Someone else messages. Can they come right now with cash. I tell them where I want to meet. They say that's great. They'll be there in 15 minutes. He comes and pays cash.

I mark it sold.

The first guy comes back with "Buddy I was coming."

Told him to leave his private life out of it.

No, I left it unresponded to. And he continues to send me messages for the next 10 minutes about how he can transfer me money and meet me anywhere and he's basically trying to get me to not break up with him with every classic desperate play you can think of from high school or college.

So I just told him I had many enquiries and I went with the one that met me where I wanted, money and location. Hope you understand. Have a nice day.

He starts spamming me with😔.

And then he tells me he's really sad because he collects action figures. And then he sends me a link to his channel and asks me to follow and like and subscribe.

I can't make this s*** up.

Damn, he has multiplicative followers than my art account, so I can't say shit.

Yes and "I make stop motion videos using the figures I buy" is another excuse I use when people ask why I buy toys. I made one stop motion video pre 2000. Don't worry, the sequel is coming!

Guy above ^^^ really isn't making true "stop motion" videos with them. Half of it is either him holding the figure by the legs and moving it through the video instead of adjusting it by frame, or just using video tools to move them around like a Powerpoint slideshow.

It's 12 30 am and he just messaged

"Sir if not sold may I pickup"

What the.
