S.H. Figuarts Marvel Figures

I saw comparison pics of the figuarts wolverine next to the marvel legends one, and man...Marvel Legends blows it out of the water. I really do think that's one of the best ML figures they've produced.

Gotta admit that even allowing for the absurd crotch shenanigans, I am surprised at how much Bandai seem to be fumbling this so far.
I've been thinking the opposite. I'm not a regular SHF buyer anymore, but I can't remember the last time I bought a great SHF figure. Most of the time, I pre-order, watch a review highlighting a disappointing feature or three, and sell the figure without opening it. The articulation isn't industry-standard anymore, the figures are usually over-engineered to the point of frustration, and they don't look good, either (see the crotch/hip situation).

They've been coasting on their good name for at least five years. If Spider-Man's another disappointment (and he does not look good at NYTF), I might be out of the Bandai business.

Yeah...having Cyclops in hand, and seeing those attempts with Wolverine and Spidey...

Man, I think I might be out on them, as well. Probably selling Cyclops here shortly. Such a shame, because when Bandai hits, they really hit. These feel super phoned in.

Wait not at Toy Fair itself?? I assume you’re just talking about a photoshopped image because if not then that’s quite the ballsy move lol. I imagine a rep at the Bandai booth was like “…..What are you doing??? That’s our competition buddy! Get that thing out of here!…Sheesh are you trying to drive away our customers??”

Look what they did to Sagat! I've never completely forgiven them.

I might go as far as to rank Cyclops as my second favorite "1/12" Marvel Comics figure behind ML Gamerverse Wolverine.

I low key really love their Scarlet Spider figure. Just wish the articulation on the torso and waist were more functional. That and the shade of red is a bit too bright and orangey for me

I'm liking Cyclops since I got him the other day. I've had him posed for over 24 hours with his heaviest effect part and the default neck just to see if he can handle it and it's been fine. The only issue I have with it as an action figure is that, like Scarlet Spider, he appears to have no waist articulation which I find ridiculous. The crotch doesn't bother me, maybe because I'm used to DBZ figures, and the range is good in all directions. My only real nitpicks are more subjective as I'd love for this to be THE Jim Lee Cyclops, but it does mimic the game art more than anything. I'd like a slimmer profile at the head and for the yellow to be closer to a true yellow as opposed to this marigold color. Something between this and the very bright yellows Hasbro uses would be my preference. I like the blue and the subtle shading utilized and the effect parts are great.

Even with a positive experience here, I'm very close to canceling Spider-Man. Their solicitation shots look great, but these convention shots really make the red look like cheap plastic. I'll wait for some in-hand reviews, but right now they're going to have to really impress me to convince me to keep it.

SHF Cyclop's thong > Hono 1/6 Wolverine Banana Hammock > McFarlane Granny panties

I feel like we’re missing one. Wasn’t there a figure that came out recently that had a very distinctive, obvious and uniquely curious bulge that couldn’t be anything else but a crotch goblin? I remember we were making fun of it for a year at least. And it definitely wasn’t SHF

Just double checked my order history and I was indeed charged in full for my SHF Gamerverse Spider-Man figure via Hobby-Genki. The date still says 03/31 on their website but that will hopefully change within the next few days? I guess I don’t really understand the fundamentals of their Buy Now-Pay Later service. Do they charge when the item arrives into a warehouse or do they take care of it about a month before delivery?
