S.H. Figuarts Marvel Figures

I find it funny that this Wolverine is also listed as 5.9” tall (same height as Legends counterpart) and either that detail is being completely overlooked no one really cares anymore?

I think there's just far less attention being paid to a $100 figure vs a Legends release.

My Cyclops from BBTS is experiencing a weather delay in Gary, Indiana. I shipped him on Monday and decided to splurge on USPS Priority. That worked out really well and then Akuma dropped today into my POL.

Mine shipped from Amazon on Monday night - should be here this weekend. He ended up costing $89 so I'm happy to have waited. Maybe if Wolverine drops a similar amount I'll actually keep that one.

Or they've accepted that the Capcom Wolverine is just verifiably taller than the comic one and aren't surprised by it anymore.

I've had Cyclops for a week or so and I like it, but the Legends one is so good that it does feel a bit underwhelming. The optic blasts he comes with are better than any others I have, but mine have the same issue that all of the reviewers do in that they don't peg fully and firmly into the eye slot and they fall off too easily. Two reviewers solved that just by heating it up and forcing both blasts fully in, but I just haven't taken the time to do that yet.

You need to work on your phrasing because it took me a minute to figure out you were talking about owning the SHF cyclops and not Wolverine

As an update to this note I was able to get the blast effects fully pegged into the head without even heating it up just by pushing a bit harder. He's been on my shelf with the bigger blast in place and the articulated neck without the neck or effect falling at all for about a day and a half without issue.

Aesthetically I like the Figuarts the best, but he's not enough of an upgrade for anyone who isn't a Cyclops fan. He's my favorite X-Men character so I'm thrilled to have multiple options. I like the Mafex, Figuarts, and Legends versions all in unique ways, but the Figuarts feels the most fun and looks the best of the three Jim Lee styled versions. I've got the original Mafex release and his joints are slightly looser than the Figuarts, but Medicom seemed to fix their loose joint issue a year or two ago so I'm sure the recent re-releases of the Jim Lee/Capcom Mafex Cyclops have much tighter joints.

I got mine today from Amazon. Seems fine, but more noteworthy is Amazon just threw the figure in a brown bag. Gee, what a great way to ship an almost $100 figure! So, as expected, my box is smashed to hell which is annoying as I usually save my SHF boxes to store the accessories in.

@Misfit You have me rethinking my Wolverine preorder at Amazon. Maybe I should go with BBTS. My Cyke is currently out for delivery with USPS after what seemed like a lot of stops along the way.

I got two insanely crotched action figures on the same day when LPZZ Deathstroke arrived unexpectedly from Gundammit. I checked my tracking for DS, thinking it would be delivered sometime next week, but it had actually been sitting on my front porch for four hours. Took only 6 days.

Deathstroke has a lot going for him and is technically the better figure, but if I could only have one, I'd have to go with Cyclops because that's more where my interests lie. I thought I was going to hate Cyclops' thigh swivels, but I don't think they look that bad in hand. That whole over engineered area isn't bugging me. However, freaking Anthony has got me questioning the placement of Scott's visor.

Btw, Deathstroke has the flattest ass I've seen on an action figure since the Fisher Price Adventure People. His cake looks like it collapsed.

This is not a great photo for scale, but Spidey sure looks taller than Cyclops here:

Whoever was in charge of that display did Spidey no favors. He should be in a crouch like Wolverine. He just looks goofy in a vanilla pose.
