Roboskull MKII/Skeletron

As excited as I am to get my figures, it honestly feels like a bit of a waste to actually permanently keep one of them in the Roboskull, where he'll never be seen. I might just keep my Crimson Alley Viper in there & display these figures at ground level below it.

My cutoff cost for a single toy purchase at the time was right around the early bird price for this. Unfortunately I didn't catch the early bird price and passed on it. I also didn't have any attachment to the property and wasn't too bothered at the time. I've regretted missing it ever since. These look really good and I'm thrilled they came out so well, for those that got them.

Happy to finally have these.

I bought 3 wolf troopers, the accessory set, and a gyre wolf. I think gyre wolf is the most striking of the five looks.

I will say I have few issues with the figures because of tolerances (things like the stand pegs being too big, grenades not plugging in, coffee mug handle being too small for any of the hand options, claws not staying on the backpack, and so forth.)

Since, I have my three wolf troopers geared up with unique character gear from the accessory set, I will probably try and pick up a few more wolf troopers to have a squad for Red Wolf.

It is funny that you can kinda tell immediately how long it took these figures to come out, because they match Cobra Island aesthetic perfectly and now hasbro not anyone else is really doing that. Curious to see the two mystery releases the back of the box teases

I actually kind of ignored this entire thing because most of the advertising/chatting I saw concerned the giant skull... thing... that I could not even -attempt- to give a fuck about. But now I'm kind of sad that I skipped out on this entire project because those figures look awesome. The one that is definitely not a Warhammer 40k Necron is very exciting. And claw guy and silver laser trooper guy look reeeeaaally cool as well.
Shit. I don't have the money for this nonsense.

Also yes to Captain Power. Love Cap's design, and his ship is actually one of my favorite toy spaceship/planes ever.

Apparently one of the teased o-ring figures is a remake of Captain Stargon from Action Man. That’s an interesting development. Not something I expected but would fit in rather nicely but also be its own thing.

They should have some in stock Wolf Troopers and such soon once all the other orders go out. I'm thinking I might still pick up a Gyre Wolf when that happens because the silver is calling to me.

Oh? Mine are super crisp in there. You have the claws facing up right? Also you gotta make sure they clamp completely in, there's a slot for both sides to clamp into. Mine are totally rock solid in there.

The 6" not a Nekron is still up for pre-order if you want to snag it. The others should have an in-stock sale soon once all the other orders have gone out. Don't know how many will be available, but they have full roboskulls still in stock until recently IIRC.

I was out in MN this weekend and drove down to Rochester (the one official brick & mortar retailer they list on their site) hoping the new 6" Wolf figures would be on sale there, no luck. Cannot wait to order, they look amazing. And it looks like vehicle is at least temporarily not for sale. It is a fantastic piece!

I wasn't even aware of the vintage Roboskull ship until this KS launched. I'm not sure how a giant red skull ship doesn't appeal to anyone who likes toys (if I understand you correctly) because it's damn amazing visually. Some people love the goofiness RAH GIJoe, and this thing takes the best aspects of outlandish Cobra stuff and cranks it up.

And yes, the Captain Power ship is an all-time classic in simple design. I wouldn't mind seeing someone try and revive that property but with modern action figure quality.

I didn't order any of the Wolf Troopers. The silver one looks particularly fetching. The red ones could blend well with some of the Monster Force red troops as well. Maybe the Cobra Crimson troops could be a splinter faction which has these Wolf troops and the Crimson Moon guys as well. Whoops, I may have talked myself into more stuff.

I have a feeling the roboskull is “sold out” mostly just to prioritize shipping out of figures

I got my Roboskulls a while back and was pretty much content as between them and the FMF 4", I finally had something like the whole gang reassembled bar Skeletron itself*, which is still being worked on. But as it turns out, I've got the 6" pilot coming soon too, which is nice, and which got me to go back and check the pledge because it's been so darn long I'd clean forgotten the one I went for said "plus 1 x every stretch goal".

So holy fuck, that means a squad of 6" troopers so I'll be able to do both Wolf and Weasel, plus the whole other stuff to wrap things up.

* Well that and the Muton but eh, Mutons were basically "we have B.A.T.s at home" so was never fussed about them either way.
