The thread for Power Rangers discussion.

I recently picked up the Mezco 5 pack and 2 figures from Ali Express (white and green rangers).

I've been thinking about it, and I'm probably going to sell of my complete set of 7 Hasbro Rangers, and some of the monsters I've acquired over the years. Now having these Mezco versions, I don't think I need more than 1 set.

Looking good. I'm like you in that I know I don't need more than one set, but in the interest of saving $500+, I'm just going to be content with the Lightning Collection Remastered figures. Yeah, Mezco is probably better, but that's a big chunk of change. (I'd also like to get the Mezco Ninja Turtles.....and the Mezco Fantastic Four.......can't have em all).

I've been contemplating what to do with my Lightning Collection. I kind of need the space so I'm thinking about just displaying the MMPR stuff but I do love how the teams all look together. As incomplete as some of them are. Thanks Hasbro.

I have the complete MMPR team, complete Zeo, complete Ninjetti. I used to have the complete Space team (which is as far as I followed the show for) but I had to let them go. I'm heavily contemplating getting rid of Zeo and Ninjetti in the interest of saving space and the "the less I have the more I appreciate it" mentality that I'm trying like hell to adopt but is oh so hard. I don't foresee getting rid of MMPR or their various bad guys.
I've seen peoples' LC collections and yes, they do look really nice together.

I flipped most of my LC towards the end.

Kept the Remastered kids (including the Kat two pack, she was my fave) and Rita. Was actually just looking at flipping Rita as I got the urge to browse here.

I can only imagine that the aftermarket for Lightning Collection has tanked a bit after Hasbro dropped the line.

Between MMPR, MMPR metallic, and Zeo, there are three different unmasked Kat heads and I'm happy to say I have them all :). While I only have one set of MMPR figures, I managed to score all* of the various unmasked heads from all 10 of the different MMPR actors, so I have maximized my unmasked display options.

*There is a smiling Jason head that was only available in the SDCC Red/Gold Ranger two pack that I would LOVE to get ahold of. I have no use for the figures.....just that one head.

In the Toronto area: holds true except for the classic MMPR. They just seem evergreen, and Remastered was a cluster to get from the jump for most people. I was able to unload Space and Zero quickly. I never really saw demand for teams past that in my own wheeling and dealing.

Even during the line's boom, I never really saw much demand for it after the initial waves. I think splitting attention across the later shows just didn't hit the nostalgia play.

Also, we never even got the current show (at the time) cast. The hell was that?

Hell yeah. Even with Remastered, I think they got Catherine Sutherland better across the board then they ever did AJJ. Had to get two Pink remasters just so Kat could enjoy articulation.

I know that Jason portrait. I only ever saw that set once at a con and it was not part of my plan that day. I have no Jason portraits, which is a bummer.

And I rue that we never got White as a remaster.

I think people hoarded the Jason head from the first release when they learned Hasbro wasn't going to give them on with the Remastered release, so that one can trickier to find, I think.

I was confident that White Remastered would be the first figure out of the gate when the line returned from its "hiatus". Turns out, it was actually a cancelation.

This is actually one of the only LC pieces I am still missing and desirous of. I like the smiling face.

I finally opened and set up some of my PR figs last week in anticipation of people being at my place and had a lot of fun actually getting displays together, things I've planned for YEARS and never done. Here is one part:

Hot take: I don't like the last Rita Hasbro did - her head is huge and the faces don't look accurate? So might sell her off at some point, or I'll mix and match with the Wedding pack. I opened the Super7 one above and she's so much better - I need to get a 3D print of her dumpster for her to stand on. :)

I have that S7 Goldar too and I love him a lot. Better than the LC Goldar by a mile. Next to the LC Rangers, he's taller than he would be in the show, but next to the LC alien-of-the-week figures he scales perfectly.

Which Rito is that?

I got the Mezco ones too and now need to unload my Lightning Collection rangers. Seems like most don't go for much these days except for White and Green. I haven't decided if I want to ebay them myself or just take them to the local comic shop and be done with it. It's just the 7 MMPR Rangers so the fact that they aren't taking up a huge chunk of real estate in my house is keeping me lethargic on the subject. Their boxes take up more space than the figures themselves.

I didn't get the Mezcos as I don't think they look good with the cloth. Doesn't look like spandex needed. That said, I might break that rule for that variant Green that Salem included in his post.

I have pretty much all the Lightning Collection releases and will be keeping them. Outside of Figuarts, they have everything I would want and I'm generally happy with them. Too bad we're moving backwards with Playmates.

Sadly, I got them from Ali Express, and they've likely doubled in price for US customers now with the whole tariff situation.

As an adult collector there is no appeal to me here. If I want high end there's Figuarts, Mezco, and Three Zero. If I want middle-of-the-road, standard retail there's Lightning Collection. If I want nostalgia there's the original vintage figures which are not hard to come by and not expensive. The Playmates stuff looks like cheaper version of the vintage stuff. Why would I buy it? It's not for the kids because this is a 30 year old show. I don't use this phrase lightly, but who is this for? I see this line going nowhere, and Hasbro couldn't care less because they're paid.
