One A Day 2.0 Day #457 - SDCC Week featuring Lyra

I certainly hope that Hasbro can find a way to get us M'Baku, but that this point I think that I'm resigned to the fact that I'm going to need to settle for the MCU version as a stand-in or customize one. A figure of the comic version of this character is needed and long overdue - although I absolutely recognize the problematic challenges of releasing a character of this nature.

I know why they haven't done it but having no comic version of M'Baku has been a bummer since he first appeared on screen. I know folks will push for his OG costume but I think the character deserves, at least, one of his non-problematic looks from the past decade just to give him a place in Legends outside of the MCU.

So, Man-Ape.

He was created late in the Silver Age by Roy Thomas and John Buscema. He's been a member of the Lethal Legion, the Masters of Evil and Villains for Hire. He has a long history in the comics and has appeared in a lot of great stories, some written and drawn by the best in the business.

Unreservedly and without hesitation, YES to Man-Ape!

Unreservedly in for comic Man-Ape. Again, put him in the Handbook classic costume, call him M'Baku and make him a MTO exclusive. Maybe make it a two-pack with comic's Killmonger, label it Black Panther's greatest foes.

What about doing annual boxsets of some of the most requested villain teams ? It'd be a great way to knock out a bunch of Serpent Society members. You could also do the Frightful Four (Wizard, Trapster, green costume Sandman and either the Brute with an evil Reed alternate head, Llyra, Red Ghost, updated Blastaar or even Man-Bull); Masters of Evil: Circus of Crime; Emissaries of Evil (either Silver Age Daredevil foes or the Alpha Fight incarnation with characters like Porcupine) or the depicted Lethal Legion. We'd finally get Swordsman, M'Baku, classic Living Laser, Erik Josten as either Power Man or Goliath and either an updated Grim Reaper or a member of the second incarnation like Nekra or Black Talon. For Spidey, you could do the Spider-Man Revenge Squad (The Spot, Kangaroo and Gibbon) to go along with Grizzly. Shift the focus yearly: Serpents, Frightful Four, Masters of Evil, etc...

All this!
This. Very much so. Classic villain, classic look, pictures 1, 3-4 preferred.
Classic look all the way.

Fantastic ideas! Killmonger in the white pants and red studded look please. More Black Panther villains please!

Day one instant purchase and a huge YES! to M'Baku/Man-Ape (and classic Killmonger)
