One A Day 2.0: Day #163 - Maximus Boltagon

Down for any pre-90s Spidey bad guys, but the Enforcers are close to the top of my list! They hold a special place in my heart for being so of Spider-Man's silver age (which, thanks to reprints, was my intro to the character).

They're a double-edged sword for Hasbro, especially in this environment: super duper easy tooling, but not especially visually exciting or high demand. I could see Ox as a BAF or the Big Man as an alt head (maybe with a couple other rogues/ supporting characters, or with a comic-based Chameleon).

Big Man and the original Enforcers for me (Ox, Montana, Fancy Dan). Not that interested in the later additions.

This is the first time I've heard of them but they aren't very visually interesting so I'd be a pass.

Good lord, YES! 100% instant purchase for the original in classic garb.

For sure, all in on the original three Enforcers (Fancy Dan, Ox and Montana). They're Lee/Ditko creations. Also would pick up the Big Man (Fred Foswell), who could go in a display of Daily Bugle characters like Jameson, Joe Robertson, civilian Peter Parker, etc... Likely would also pick up "Snake" Marston, who along with Ox was also in the Thunderbolts army team and "Hammer" Harrison.

Hear me out: Daily Bugle boxset, anchored by a Spidey/ Peter Parker variant, and including some combo of ...

- Foswell/ Big Man
- J. Jonah Jameson reissue
- Robbie Robertson
- Betty Brant
- Ben Urich
- Eddie Brock
- Ned Leeds
- Glory Grant

... in a diorama box. Any takers?
