Yeah, this and the early (pay in advance in full) SDCC offerings isn't helping shake the appearance that they want cash at the moment.
 
You know, I was going to say that no one would be more bummed about NECA going away than me, but we all know that's not true. There's someone who would definitely be more upset.

But IF they were to go away, what a loss to this hobby that would be. Man, would that suck. I hope beyond hope they can get shit squared away. Hopefully, it's more of a case of "We gotta pay for this big ass Disney license, y'all" and less "We need this to keep the lights on, y'all!".
 
Same. They gave me the Mirage line I always wanted. The movie line I never dared dream of. Has everything been perfect? Of course not but the quality overall has been good and the lines have gone deep. I hope Mattel let them keep doing their thing.

But if we are approaching the end of the line then they've given me almost everything that I wanted from Mirage and the movie lines.

It's certainly possible they need more cash now, though in the case of the Sakai turtles I think it's more likely they only wanted to do one production run so it's all just sitting in a warehouse now. Target also seemed to blow through their allotment (though more went up yesterday) so there may be less of a concern to protect them. Or, the Target relationship may be changing. I think a lot of people would be upset if NECA went away, but Haulathon? I'm certainly okay if that's done.

How is it stuck up to say that you are more invested in them than I am? I even go on to say that I would also be upset, but we both know you would be more impacted.

Just before it goes any further, let's stop now. I don't think Rick intended that to seem aggressive, but I understand there's some history here that could make it seem that way (or maybe it was and it was subtle enough I don't see it that way, who knows). In either case, don't take this any further, gentlemen.
