NECA - General Thread

Leatherface definitely has different enough looks to warrant getting multiple figures vs someone like Michael who really only looks different to us horror nerds.

Don't sleep on Best Buy. Those have both been available pretty consistently on their site for a while now, and (at least for me) shipping is generally free.
Thanks for the tip. Finally snagged Bert and Ernie. I'm hoping The Count goes up Friday on Target.

The Count and Halloween 6 Michael are the two things I want most out of this Haulathon now that I got the cartoon Shredder. More Sesame Street can't come soon enough.

I got Wedding Suit Beetlejuice mostly for the baby accessory. I thought id just get the classic black and white striped suit, but ive gotten both of the NECA Beetlejuice figures theyve made so far. I really want The Count, and I'm thinking about getting Peewee.

Forgot about PeeWee! I will be picking him up too along with Panda Khan and the Wyrm/Tattoo 2 pack. I just wish what I wanted had been a bit better spread out. I didn't pick up anything the first week and just Shredder yesterday. I'm sure all of my wants will be crammed in on the last week.

Every day my shelf goes without a NECA Cookie Monster is another day where the Devil wins.
I need for Neca to start pumping out Sesame Street characters like they did with cartoon TMNT. It seemed that one day I was begging for a Splinter and then a few months later it felt like the shelves had really filled out to the point that I would have been happy if they had quit then.

I’m curious if Big Bird or Snuffy would be to scale with the current figures? Much like Cookie Monster, I can’t imagine Big Bird wouldn’t be near the top of the list of characters other than perhaps due to his size being an issue. Elmo, Oscar, and Grover would be up there as well I would think. Wonder if Reporter Kermit is fair game?

I do think it was a huge missed opportunity to already have the letter C included when it was the obvious one for Cookie Monster to have. C is for cookie and that’s good enough for me. Classic song and a phrase I still use to this day.

They showed Big Bird at Toy Fair, along with Oscar, and Harry Monster.

He's probably too small to be actual scale. Harry Monster looks like he comes up to his shoulder.

I'm good with Big Bird not being totally to scale as long as he is decently taller than the rest.

In one of the YouTube walk-throughs from Toy Fair, Trevor from NECA stated that Big Bird might be slightly under scaled. He still looks suitably large though.

I finally got my Bert and Ernie from Target today, had to wait for a blink-and-you'll-miss-it overnight restock to order them after missing the initial pre-orders. Luckily I'm a serious night owl who's routinely still awake until 4am. At any rate, these figures are glorious and hella fun to play with. I do wish they scaled correctly with any of the other lines I collect, but as long as they look good with my DST Muppets I'm happy. Can't wait to get The Count!
The NECA figures absolutely do not scale with DST Muppets, they are significantly larger. They are made to scale with Palisades' Muppets. If you want Sesame Street figures that scale with the DST line, your best option is the Super 7 ReAction figures.

Hot up a Target yesterday didnt feel like there was a ton of Haulathon product among the metric ton of other NECA stuff... but then slyly tucked behind some older Turtles figs I found the Panda Khan I was looking for. So happy to have him. Love the figure. My only issue is whether to display him with or without the douli.
