NECA - General Thread

Not crazy about the $43 pricetag on the phantom listing though. Kinda hoping it's an artifact of the incorrect Part VI listing and was like a third party price or something.
 
I have a friend who is insisting she isn't real but I feel like she is. I know 3rd parties can sell on Amazon but can they create totally new listings with their own photos?
 
There's a packaged photo, staged product photo ... hell of a lot of work to fake for ... no good reason?
 
That's what I said but there was a Pamela fake a while back that popped up like this, box and all. It didn't get this far though.
 
That's the one. And apparently somewhere the guy who made it showed work in progress pics to prove it was his custom.
 
I'm still hoping it turns out to be real. I didn't see those work in progress pics but my friend has no reason to be dishonest. He wants nothing more than for this to be true. All I know is that several major toy news outlets are running it as if it is a sure thing coming. Time will tell.
 
Oh wow, I didn't realize how many pics there actually were out there until I just saw it on TNI. For the sake of my self-perception of my bullshit detector, I hope this is real. I still think it is. There, I've committed.
 
If it isn't then it's one of the most well-done and thorough customs I've ever seen and I'm sure if Neca ever got around to doing a redo of their early effort it probably wouldn't be this good.
 
If it's true, it's awesome. If it's not... It's still awesome, because that would be possibly the best fake I've ever seen.
 
Well Pamela was 100% real. On Neca's socials. My friend is a very very happy wrong person this afternoon.

And, while not an Ultimate, I also picked up the Captain Spaulding re-release. I'm not exactly proud of my financial irresponsibility, but to be fair, I had some leftover gift cards burning a hole in my pocket, so that makes it okay, right? 😁

Looking forward to ol' Pammy. The horror shelf definitely needs some motherly love.
