NECA - General Thread

They were bendy toys in the 80s. The artwork and colorways match those figures, as do the headsculpts.
 
Between the Universal Studios exclusive figures and these, they're definitely getting their mileage out of those UM sculpts. It's a shame these won't be available individually- I dig that Mummy. It's juuuust different enough from the regular release to get me interested in it. May snag it if anyone ever throws it up on the 'bay

(Note: while hunting for pics of these, I ran across an absurdly old monster toys webpage. "McFarlane Toys plans the release of new Freddy Krueger, Jason, and Leatherface action figures in 1998." Good to know!
 
Yeah, the packaging is a big part of why those original figures are so sought after. The NECA figures having the reproduced artwork is the main reason I even considered them. I ultimately will be passing on them, because I just don't have the funds, and there is too much coming out right now that I really want, but they are gorgeous.
 
Has anyone else noticed that NECA's been going back and updating their Jason figures after all these years? Freddy vs Jason, Part 3, and Part 4 have all been updated with ball hips, and most interestingly, hinged wrists. Plus your typical improved paint jobs, etc. They're all from the production run in 2025 (the code above the UPC will end in 25). I'm wondering if every Jason they did will be getting redone like this or what.
 
BBTS sent me a "processing soon" email for Krampus and Der Klown, two figures I'm quite excited for, but admittedly keep forgetting are coming because it's taken so long. 😅 This'll be my first BBTS order affected by the tariffs, even though I ordered them way before all this nonsense began, which is a bummer.

Jeez, I've had them on order with EE for AGES. Same with the American Werewolf 2-pack. Been a crazy long wait.

They're great. I got them Directly from NECA in December.

I got my processing soon for Black and White Striped Suit Beetlejuice. Tariffs raised the price $2.01.
 
Krampus and Klown hit my POL. Debating whether to go ahead and ship them or to wait for more things to hit. Only real outstanding orders I have that were due soon are the Diamond Select pre-orders they still haven't canceled and the Hiya Star Trek 2009 figures that may or may not actually be coming out.
