BBTS said the Metaluna Mutant should hit my POL soon. Forgot about that big-brained boi! Gonna have a pretty hefty NECA haul, it seems, but given I'm starting to get into the spoopy mood for Halloween, it's perfect timing.

Off topic, but having been in the Halloween mood, I recently rewatched Donnie Darko. Now there's a NECA figure I'd love to see get a re-release (or just straight up redo in the Ultimate style). I'd love to add Frank to the collection, but those aftermarket prices are crazy.

So I'm a little slow on everything with this line but I picked up Dracula and Van Helsing a few weeks back and was a bit intimidated by trying to swap torsos on poor Peter Cushing so I didn't get around to unboxing them til last night. I wish the coat was less restrictive cos Van Helsing does look great in it but that "get down to business" look with the sleeves rolled up makes ol' Cushing look the most badass he's ever been in action figure format. I'm really glad I didn't keep these two in the box. Also the engineering on Dracula's cape works better than any superhero or sci-fi figure I've ever had.

That's a loaded question. These figures are almost all fantastic. But if you're looking for the most iconic group, you need Wolfman, Frankenstein's monster, Creature from the Black Lagoon & The Mummy. Bonus points for Mummy's accessory set, that sarcophagus looks incredible!

I guess it depends on what you mean by "superstars." If you're talking actors as opposed to monsters, I would suggest the Ardath Bey version of the mummy because you can actually see Karloff's face much better, the color breaks up the very dark tones of the other 2 and you can get him heavily discounted right now. Then again, with its price being so low you could get both mummy figures and think of it as your own 2-pack.

This really has become one of my favorite collections. I've always loved horror in general. You can tell Neca really puts their all into these figures.
