NECA - General Thread

They showed a melting one at a show years ago yeah, but they've never even showed a Veggie Gremlin.

I try to take heart in the fact that they keep eking out releases in this license when they could've dropped it years ago. In fact, I just noticed on BBTS that they're re-issuing the Bat Gremlin again. I still remember how unexpected and exciting it was when they revealed that the first time, after it seemed like the G2 line was dead. But yeah, Veggie's the one still glaring omission from this line, and I'll keep holding out hope as long as they keep dropping a release or two each year.
They've been updating the paint apps on the figures too. The Spider-Gremlin and the Bat-Gremlin both have improved paint jobs.

Is that Predator Badlands Elle Fanning the complete figure? I don't want to say more because I'm unaware if that might be spoilers. But if you saw SDCC, you know what I'm asking.

I had given up hope for a B&W Invisible Man. I thought they abandoned that sub-line, so this new reveal makes me happy. I only collect the black and white Universal Monsters and all I need for them to make to complete my personal wants is Invisible Man and Phantom Of The Opera. If they never make the Phantom i wouldn't be too upset, but I'm dying without IM, my favorite Universal Monster.

Just got the newest Leatherface and love it, but can anyone explain the significance/point of the extra jacket? I would much rather have had another hand or even another prop from the film.

Pretty sure it's just a more dynamic jacket for folks who want to pose theirs in more of an attack position. I think it's meant to emulate the ending where he chases Sally and the iconic lens flare shot, but it's not quiiiiiite 1:1. The NECA store says it's a "windswept look as he runs into the Texas fields chasing his victims". I agree it wasn't totally necessary- the default jacket works fine in my opinion, but I suppose I appreciate the effort

I don't believe it possible, but I would love to see Neca do a Willie Tanner figure, with an in-scale Alf to go with him. Willie is almost as iconic as Alf himself! And seeing Neca loves to do normal men in everyday clothes, I don't see any reason not to. Except of course the likeness rights.
