NECA - General Thread

I haven't seen any restocks, but my store also has it in a stupid place that many people probably haven't found. I have seen images from the west coast online of people finding the second drop of TMNT stuff (two-packs, Panda Khan) in the regular NECA section. It might be on the whim of whoever is stocking the stuff in the store if they replenish the pop-up or just stick them wherever. The two-packs also don't seem like they'd fit unless they took out all of the plush.

Mother is out for delivery today. I got her when NECA put her up on their store before she starting popping up on places like BBTS and EE.

Yeah, mine was dropped off a few hours ago. Taking off work a bit early to check her and my TF Scrapper out.

Today must be Pamela day because I received mine too. Had to go out for dinner so I haven't had a chance to open her yet.

Pam's expressions are great. Possibly the most expressive female figure I've ever owned. Now that I have her and some hikers (Jack & David) for her to terrorize, I'll have to try to get some good pics.

Got home and opened Pammy yesterday, and she's great! The sculpting on the sweater is really nice, and like Felonius said, her expressions are fantastic. She has the usual pratfalls of a NECA figure- not the widest range of articulation, so the bow and arrow isn't the easiest to get her to hold and look natural, but I've seen far worse. She may not be as visually interesting as the slashers and monsters themselves, but there's something about her that's really neat nonetheless. Glad to have her.

Finally got around to opening her. Comparing her to the previous Pamela really shows how far Neca has come in every way. The likeness is incredible and I'm not even sure you could call the old one a likeness.

I finally got my Bert and Ernie from Target today, had to wait for a blink-and-you'll-miss-it overnight restock to order them after missing the initial pre-orders. Luckily I'm a serious night owl who's routinely still awake until 4am. At any rate, these figures are glorious and hella fun to play with. I do wish they scaled correctly with any of the other lines I collect, but as long as they look good with my DST Muppets I'm happy. Can't wait to get The Count!

Don't sleep on Best Buy. Those have both been available pretty consistently on their site for a while now, and (at least for me) shipping is generally free.

I didn't get him, but I did end up finding the other Leatherface Ultimate at Target yesterday, the one with the apron. I have the old one, but something tells me I'm gonna need the new one too. Got the Pretty Woman one a few weeks ago, and he's great. A major size difference from the old one; the old Ultimate almost looks like a younger brother next to the new one. Kinda wished I'd waited and picked him up at Target, since they had him for $35, versus Best Buy's $40, but it ain't too big a difference. I've been trying to limit myself to the most iconic look on slashers/monsters that get multiple figs, but I may have to make an exception for Leatherface; they're different enough to warrant getting both, I think.
