NECA - General Thread

Has there been any word on any older drops on the NECA store for Alien Day? I know they're putting up the new Ultimate Aliens Drone, but I haven't seen word of any restocks of anything else, or what time they'd be going up. Wanted to keep my eye open in case a miracle occurs and they happen to drop Vasquez with the big gun.
 
Is this already being talked about somewhere else? Rambo, Dutch, John Matrix, Ripley, and Colonial Marines would make me Ultra tingly.

Oh, it's the same as everyone else's first thought. Nothing insightful or interesting. I just didn't want to be the first one to say it.
 
When Ultimates were introduced NECA still sold $20 basic figures, as cost increased across the board the $20 basics were phased out and everything became an Ultimate

Ultimate is the new basic figures! (Still gonna cost $38) and Ultra-mate is gonna slowly replace it (if not just outright replace it right now)

“Sure this Pennywise cost $60 but you get THREE unique heads!”
“We got three unique heads with the Ultimate five years ago…”
“Yeah well this is the ULTRA MATE it cost $60!!!”
 
My brother asked how much my McFarlane and Mattel figures cost, and was surprised it was under $60. He works in the computer hardware world, and doesn't collect, but just based off The World Economy, he was surprised figures are "that cheap".

Which is horrid.
 
I already can't bring myself to tell the very few people in my life (mostly my brother and parents) who know about my collecting how much this shit costs. Surely there will come a point where I can't even bring myself to tell myself and the whole habit will just die!

Yeah, something like that. Maybe even "upgrades" along those lines of a bunch of figures we already have as well.

Personally gonna keep huffing that copeium they’re gonna give Gargoyles another shot (now with the foldable wings they cut due to keep them in the old Ultimate pre-pandemic pre-tariff pricing, and the character’s come with their own capes so the humans can be regular $38 Ultimates, and I don’t know maybe one more expression face place or a tiny episode specific accessory… whatever it takes to make then feel like we’ll spend $75 on them)
