NECA '87 Toon TMNT

I wouldn't be surprised to see them release the Turtle Van. It seems to be one that a lot of people have been asking about and didn't get a lot of backlash for the price (that I can remember?) like the sewer lair dioramas did.

I picked up the Dark Leo figure at Target. As tends to be the trend with me I wasn't going to get it until I saw him in person and he really pops. My plastic-addicted mine told me he might go good up on the rooftop next to Donatello as the Dark Turtle so I think that's what I will do. I don't even remember this particular episode of the cartoon though.
There's a good reason for that as he was never in the cartoon. The Dark Leo figure is a collaboration with the IDW Saturday Morning comic and he'll be featured in that along with dark versions of the other brothers. Not sure if it's still on the way or already out.

I'm guessing all of the big ticket, made to order, stuff is on pause for the foreseeable future. I'd be very surprised if we see any solicitations for the kitchen, giant Krang, or reissues of stuff like the van until this tariff business is sorted out. They also severely botched the roll-out of the lab and I imagine there are consequences internally for such a mishap. They may need to prove to the bean counters that they have their house in order before they undertake another offering like that.

I sure would love it if Neca rereleased Bunny Bebop and Rocksteady. They rereleased the crab claw Mirage Shredder from the Loot crate so maybe it can happen. I don't know why I want them but they are one of the few things from the cartoon line I missed out on. They'd also make for a good Easter display fighting the Jesus figure that is coming out.

Bunny Bebop and Rocksteady is what got me to buy that first round of Loot Crate figures. I didn't really care about the Shredder or the shock turtle, but those bunny boys had to be mine. Considering how the vacation set has kind of languished at retail, I'm not sure if they're too eager to release more variants. They could easily do it though and claim they're not devaluing the Loot Crate figures if they did them as a two-pack since the originals were single-packed. I'd be tempted on a round 2 if they swapped out the old style hips for the new ones. I love those figures, but I don't like to move them or place them in a spot where I think there's even a tiny chance they could shelf dive because I know how expensive they would be to replace. Plus the Bebop Loot Crate sent me has a cracked nose ring. Their customer service was so atrocious that I did not attempt to get a replacement.

Those surfboards are new, as far as I know, so I guess some sort of beach turtle set? Maybe for San Diego? I don't remember anything like that from the show.

That makes sense more than anything else really. I'm sure there was somewhere in the show where they were dressed up in beach gear that I'm not recalling but even if not, we know that Neca has started doing their own thing in the cartoon style anyway.

I’m hoping it means a re-release of the van. They have the street scene back up, too.

I'm so much further into this line at this point than I ever expected to be. Do I need a van if they re-release it? I never thought I would be put in this position!

How much was the van originally? Looks like you can get it around $400 with shipping before taxes on eBay.

Might be sewer surfing versions of the boys? Kinda like how they've been doing toy inspired designs.

Whoever's driving the wagon in that pic does appear to be wearing a cap or visor. So some sort of beach/vacation version of the brothers seems a good guess.

Maybe the Turtles will be in this style. I actually have this shirt and the corresponding shorts.
