Naughty or Nice by Fresh Monkey Fiction

I assume the next round of Christmas figures will go up for backing soon, right? I'm curious if they tweak Mrs. Claus from the prototype they showed at SDCC. Maybe the one at SDCC is a young version, and they will also solicit an older, Grandma version. I'd prefer a more traditional looking Mrs. Claus than the one they showed. Will there be any new Santas? I think a medieval Santa could be cool.
I'm expecting (hoping) for an alt head. If we get that and it's an older version I think it'll be fine.
Maybe we’ll get a “Hot Santa” to go with the new Mrs. Claus.
I think that's a fine idea, really. I would like it if we were also getting a more heavyset Mrs. Claus, but I think action figure collectors simply won't have it. I can't think of any fat women figures from any line off the top of my head. I'm sure there is one somewhere, but it's certainly not common. Even fat dudes are largely nonexistent outside of this one Santa line and the Blob over at ML.

There definitely aren’t many heavy ladies. The Spider-Verse Spider-Woman was pregnant, if I recall correctly. NECA did a big lady in their turtle line with Jersey Red. Toy producers definitely aren’t excited to do larger women as figures just like they aren’t that into old ladies either. Maybe it was too much to expect Mrs Claus to be both?

I took about a half inch off each leg of the Snoop throne, and I can get standard Santa to sit on it with his feet touching the ground. However, his coat skirt won't allow him to sit his butt all the way down. The front part is flexible enough that he can get his legs forward, but I don't want to leave it that way for fear of creasing or splitting the plastic of the coat. But it's possible to get him in there, and he's even big enough to nearly reach the back, unlike most of the other 6" figures I tried (MvC Cap, Warbow, Loki, 3pk Dr Doom with cloth cape). Just wanted to confirm that you can make it work if you want to.

This is what I was suspecting when I picked it up. I'd definitely be up for repainting a piece like that, but I'm probably not going to do any physical mods for it. If I had a candidate for a large-ish figure that could sit on the throne as-is and look good I'd probably grab one. They are astonishingly cheap right now.

Wait, do we know the height on future Storm Arena Bison?

Thanks for that, I was trying to decide about cutting it down. Looks fine like that. I might take off the cross piece and cut it at the notch in the legs and make it a bit shorter even.

However, his coat skirt won't allow him to sit his butt all the way down.

The Santas without the coat - Storyteller, Great Northern, sit quite well on it. Storyteller looks great style-wise, like he is overseeing the elves...

I mean, it is the source material for her - I would think people buying this line would understand why she is not normally portrayed as slim and young. I was disappointed they went with Instagram Model Ms. Claus...

While I am sure toy manufacturers aren't eager to make larger, older female figures, in their defense there's not a lot of source material in the comics or films that are not young and slim and would be expected to be action figures.

I'm not really seeing this as a throne, as much as the chair Santa would sit in at the mall when kids come and take their pictures with him and tell him what they want. I think Santa just doesn't have the range of motion to make it work really well. I don't love how he's leaning back, but I can't get his thigs to move up any further, which forces him to lean back. The only other NoN Santa I have is the lumberjack, which doesn't have a skirt. These are stored in my attic, which is cold at the moment, so trying him out on the throne, I didn't want to push too much so I wouldn't snape the hips.

I bought 2 of those Snoop thrones, so it's good to know a little modding of the legs makes it work for Santa. I do have an old MS Doom throne that I was using, but this might work better. I may give it a spray of another color and paint the cushion parts a more holiday color.

I think the gold and green already work! Green complements red, and is often used in Christmas decor. Gold also naturally fits. I did remove the Snoop logo though, and the acetone melts this kind of ABS plastic, so if you go that route, be careful.
