Mortal Kombat Klassic figures by McFarlane Toys

I mentioned before that Walmart kept canceling my Sub-Zero and Mileena two-pack and while I'm kinda done with this line, at least in any serious way, I had hit the point ot SPITE BUYING the two pack because Walmart kept taking it away from me.

Anyway, I got it today, and in the most action-figure-karma way, I'm looking at icy-arms Sub-Zero and kinda... just wishing I got the standard one instead. My own spite buy bit me in the ass. Action figure collecting is a journey.

To be fair the 2-pack sub-zero is the cleaner of the two in terms of the frost effects on the costume. At least mine is. I know it varies from figure to figure but with my set those frost effects on the standard version were not very well applied. I had to repaint it just to ensure he looked blue. If I hadn’t customized it he would have looked like he fell into a snowdrift

It seems we will never have a really good, solid MK line with most of the MKI and MKII rosters completed in the same line/scale. Storm has been the closest, but that scale creep and release stagnation borks it. And do we need to say anymore about these? Does anyone REALLY like these figures aesthetically or build wise?

EDIT: I see you like them Poe. I hope they continue to release these at a quality level you like.

I personally find the Female Ninja figures woefully-lacking. Anyone have pictures of them with Different Storm MK figures?

Wife is in surgery at the moment (nothing serious, outpatient stuff), but when I get home, I'll try to get a few shots. I will say, they scale fairly well.

Appreciate this. All went well, and she is resting comfortably on our couch as I type this. 😀

Sorry it took so long to get to this. But as you can see, scaling is pretty good, if you can get past the obvious disparity in quality.

They do scale ok if a little tall. Is that the original Shao Khan or their 2nd version? It looks good. I'm bummed I missed out on The Storm Sektor. I had it pre-ordered from gamespot and it got cancelled after a long wait. That cyber ninja mold looks awesome.

I was always bummed about the later the storm MK line went. I got in on the OG Sub-Zero and Scorpion (They were so amazing I got The reptile version of that mold as well) After that, I got Baraka, Goro, And Kintaro. All of the figures that came after (besides the Cyber ninjas) started an INSANE scale creep, (Night Wolf is Pushing the limits) and I also thought the sculpt quality went way down. I swear there is some sculptor at Storm that I hate that does some of my favorite characters. Lui-Kang is the last figure they did in that line that I thought looked well sculpted.

I hope Everything went well with your wife. Thanks for posting these pictures.

Yeah, that's the second Khan.
