Mortal Kombat Klassic figures by McFarlane Toys

Looks like all of the MK figures have been solicited and will be available for preorder tomorrow (Friday Aug. 8th). Here is the information as follows

7” Scorpion (available for preorder @ select retailers)

7” Sub-Zero (available for preorder @ select retailers)

7” Liu Kang (available for preorder @ select retailers)

7” Red Platinum Edition Katana ( available for preorder @ GameStop with more limited quantities available at a later date via select retailers)

7” Sub-Zero vs Mileena deluxe edition 2-pack (available @ Walmart) comes with over 13 accessories + 2 display stands

I will update this space in the event that preordor I do is added for the recently shown Raiden and Reptile figures and when preorder links become available for the rest of the assortment

Ordered the bundle from the McFarlane store. Annoying Kitana isn’t apart of that when she’s more heavily packed that Sub Zero and Scorpion. Dumbest move Todd has made yet is short packing SZ and S over Lui Kang and Kitana. I doubt she’ll be too difficult to find but SZ and S might be a different story.
 
McFarlane and NECA seem to be the two main toy companies really passing on those tariffs rather than absorbing them like Hasbro and Mattel have been. They’re smaller companies so they probably can’t do that as easily.

I had all of the Storm ninjas and got rid of them a couple of years ago. They were nice but not worth the price. They had a funky scale too. The MK II ninja looks are my favorite so these are these were obvious replacements for me.

I definitely do NOT want to harsh your enjoyment, @Buttmunch , so I apologize if you took it that way. Just really frustrated with Todd's practices that just seem to be getting worse & worse (not even accounting for tariffs). Mileena only available in a 2-pack, Kitana exclusive to GameStop. Not that Hasbro is any better, either.

And yeah, Storm's old scale was fucking stupid. Advertised as "1:12," but actually "1:8" or something lol. 5'5" Ken the Eagle from Gatchaman is almost 9". That ain't "one twelfth," guys, lmfao.
 
The fact that kitana won’t go live yet is frustrating as fuck. Why must corporate headquarters sit on their god damn hands like this????

No, not at all. I’m not thrilled with the price point but the bundle price with club membership and the 10% discount code took most of the sting away. Totally get where you’re coming from and don’t disagree.

Kitana isn’t actually an exclusive from my understanding. She’s ‘red platinum’ which means she’s not going to be offered individually but is packed to per case (Lui Kang also x2 and Scorpion and Sub-Zero are 1 per case) at least according to Entertainment Earth.

I haven’t heard anything official on Reptile yet but have to imagine him and the rest of the rainbow of ninja recolors are coming eventually. I can’t imagine Todd wouldn’t milk that sculpt for all it’s worth. Same with Jade. Scorpion is a prime candidate for a variant with a skull head too.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Todd did player 2 decos down the line as well. I think technically Reptile is already in his player 2 colors because he’s fluorescent green instead of the usual muted green

Secured my order for Kitana. Man if it isn’t one thing it’s another on GameStop. As soon as I checked out the damn website wouldn’t allow me to enter in my apartment number the page would just refresh over and over again. They really need to get their shit together over there because it is just becoming too frustrating to have to deal with this over again

They can eat shit for making Kitana the Red Exclusive. I get it Big Todd, you hate women! It’s why we don’t have a decent Harley Quinn but thank God we have Kite Man and Clock King! Don’t be fun and make it Noob or Reptile who were hidden characters or something, no, make it the most important storyline wise (second most overall) female character in the series! One everyone will want because Storm also hates women so she’s missing from everyone’s collection whether augmenting or starting over! Killer job, no notes!

Edit: LOL! $40 after tax when shipped at GameStop?! Eat shit! I’ll take my chances in the wild or just continue not having a Kitana!

I pre-ordered the Sub-Zero/Mileena two pack from WalMart because I see this line as just filling in the gaps in 1:10 Storm collection (if Storm gets the license back, I agree with everyone else just got Arena) for some weird reason my brain see UMK3 as Scorpion and Reptiles “default” ninja looks but MK2 for Sub-Zero, and Storm never repainted that updated MK2 Scorpion Blue so this bad boy will work just fine. I prefer the UMK3 female ninja costume to MK2, but not for why you’d think… it has more black on it breaking up the solid colors giving it a more interesting look… so Mileena is the platonic ideal of MK2 Female Ninja design in my book, her color is more vibrant than in the game and the black portions of the costume seems to be thicker too, so it’s a lot more visually interesting than a solid purplish pink outfit. though I still wouldn’t mind a UMK3 version down the road (even if it’s the Fortnite styled black diamond on the chest instead of stretched to the breaking point lace up version, which is actually better, more black to contrast the bright colors!)

Hope we see Jax and Sonya in a future assortment, they’re really the biggest gapping holes in my collection right now… though I’m sure Sonya will be the Red exclusive or locked in a $70 two pack (actually… just put her and Kano in a two pack and make it look like their cameo in the background of MK2 and I’d be happy with that!)

Hopefully Storm still has the license & adds it to Arena. I'll pay $30 each for 1:12 scale 6" figures with a ton of hands & power effects & better sculpt & articulation. Happily.

Yeah they look “fine” but it looks like the articulation is hampered by the sculpt and the accessories are skimpy.

MK especially needs deluxe versions with fatality parts and stuff (like the storm line had)

Managed to get an order in for Kitana for pick up at a local GameStop. Says ‘in stock’ for pickup tomorrow so we’ll see. It’s a smaller, slower store so I can’t imagine it wouldn’t be ready later today unless there is some kind of street date they have to follow.
