Opened the whole wave (sans Rom - saving the best for last) today. I'm really pretty happy with everything.
Thrilled to have Banshee finally, and not as eager to replace his wings as I thought I'd be. Except for not being double-sided (lame) they kinda work perfectly - with his arms extended they pull tight, and when they're more relaxed they billow. That's pretty much exactly what I need them to do. I have the training suit figure so I'm not sure why this feels like news - I guess I didn't mess with him too much when I got him.
Warlock and Daken are great upgrades. Ultimate Iron Man is a great update and an incredible figure in his own right - glad to see they incorporated the articulation into the design of the figure, which doesn't always happen in obvious spots with Iron Men. Miles is alright - I really love the Space Venom wave figure, but this one can pose like no one's business.

Yeah I think I'm good with Banshee's cape wings like they are. I'll most likely always have him in the pose below and they look fine.
It feels great to replace that old early Hasbro Banshee but this just reminds me that there is always a "worst" figure in every display and for this team now that Banshee has been upgraded, that is Cyclops.

Cyclops is definitely the most in need of an upgrade. Though I wonder if I'll still prefer the slimmer body of the old one - especially for the Cockrum Cyke, I don't like him too big.
I'd definitely take an updated Thunderbird and a Colossus specific to that era too. Pete's the only one I think has a realistic shot, though.

I'd take them too and also a less skinny Storm. I'd really love a Colossus in his human form with the miraculous suddenly appearing blue tights.
Bucky Cap body is offensive to me at this point. It's just too busy looking in its details and I like a more smooth body.
Hey, when you have nothing to add, sometimes that's all you can say. At least it doesn't shut down the conversation.
Hadn't thought of that before. That makes me give a pass to some of the weaker figures in my collection. Still, they don't have to be as bad as Juggernaut wave Kitty, the worst figure in my X-Men display. I hope the rumored Astonishing Kitty/Colossus two-pack pays off.
That Cyke isn't terrible, but he looks worse with every release of a Cyclops figure on the Vulcan body.
I think he would be come the new worst after Cyclops for sure.
I donno, I never hated the Barnes Cap body. Yes it was overused, but I felt like it was among the stronger options in their body library. Looking more closely at that 2pk Cyke, he even got some airbrush paint apps on the blue of his costume.
The body used for Thunderbird to me is more egregious, with the weird way the upper arms are attached to the shoulders, that only Phineas Curmudgeon could berate properly. I’m still trying to find fists to replace those C-grip hands.
Maybe it’s the characters that are also contributing to my opinion. I’ve always been a Cyclops fan, never got the chance to be a fan of Thunderbird.

With the bucks they have available at this point, I’ve been thinking of the Vulcan Buck as the standard, adult hero body, while the Bucky Cap Buck could be slightly smaller 18-early 20s characters. Then the various teen bucks for teenagers
If Vulcan is the standard hero build, meant to replace the Barnes Cap body, I’d instead consider the upgraded Bullseye/Sunfire pinless body to be the next level down. Either that or the Renew Your Vows Spidey body, but I hate that neck, and wouldn’t trade it for the added torso articulation.
Was VERY delighted to find Banshee, ROM, Ultimate Iron Man and Miles today at TARGET! Had a deal and swooped all but Miles up so I can return them to Amazon. Also grabbed two Xaviers so they are also sale price. 
Did Hasbro say these wouldn't be at mainline retailers? I don't remember, but glad to see them! And even more glad I didn't break down and order from DD yet to save a couple bucks.

The Ultimate Iron Man figure came out so nicely. Love the detailed, comic accurate sculpt. The articulation works very nicely.
I re-read the Ultimate Armor Wars mini-series. Iron Man was so powerful in that series. His wrist-mounted repulsors could do a lot of damage. And his rockets mounted in the left shoulder and right rib cage were devastating.
Hasbro could repaint Ultimate Iron Man into Ultimate Dreadknight! The chest is different, but the rest of the suit is pretty similar. Ultimate Ghost also used a stolen Iron Man suit, so his armor could be a repaint, too.
