Mini Comic Wave 2

Unfortunately like Rachel, despite the promo pics showing two fists, one has been replaced with a C grip hand. Wish they'd replaced one of the splayed finger hands instead if they insist on shoehorning in a C grip.

Also unfortunately now my Widow shows shipped as of this morning despite still saying the 10th yesterday when I asked to cancel. Easy enough to return, but still annoying.
If you have the old Target one, it's slightly off. But not enough to set me off, which should bode well for most people wanting to add those hands.

I know this has nothing to do with the Mini Comic waves, but Schizm's Jawa ornament there got me thinking about what I did the other day.
I know the vast majority of us would rather not discuss anything involving those crappy little Hasbro 3.75" MU figures (of which I only purchased one: Crimson Dynamo), but a few weeks ago I pulled the one extra MU Sentinel I bought on clearance out of the closet and opened him up to remove the pre-installed batteries, and was once again confronted with that pitiful tiny Wolverine figure pack-in. I played with him for about 15 minutes, shook my head in disdain, then laid him on my desk (because he could barely stand upright) until yesterday when I decided to drill a pilot hole between his shoulders and insert a small eye screw.
Now he's suspended from my rear view mirror like the trinket he was always meant to be. Lol
It's a super easy modification if anyone still has any of those tiny turds hanging around, and wants some unique Xmas tree ornaments or whatever.

Amazon shipping this wave is hilarious to me. Beast showed up Wednesday, Feral is two stops away right now, Phoenix is scheduled for tomorrow and Black Widow is due Monday. Daredevil still not due until 12/13 and I skipped Silver Surfer.

Just got Widow and honestly, I know everyone has THEIIR version of every character, but this right here has been the version of Nat I've wanted not just since I first started collecting Legends but since I walked into my first comic book shop and bought Uncanny X-Men 268. One of the first things I did with legends was overspend on that old, wiry, clunky, but with some great static sculpt work Widow from the Bucky two-pack and I've been chasing a better version of that one ever since. Really psyched to have the specific look I wanted finally on a really superior buck for posing. (I was so petty and miffed when they put gray-suit Nat out with the bomber jacket a while back, like COME ON but I guess it's good they waited - this is even better.)

I would do this repaint myself if it weren't for the difficulty masking or repainting the spikes and the fact that being an easy repaint it could be something hasbro does themselves. Rachel in her original "hound" colors. below is my rather amateur-ish mockup of what it might look like. Add the chain from wildchild and/or make a new one that can attach around the neck above the neck spikes and you are good .

At this point Hasbro has enough candidates for an all-black repaint wave:
MCU Sentry
X97 Powered Up Sunspot
MCU Daredevil Black Suit
That Rachel Hound

Throw in a Black Phoenix, Classic Punisher and there's another recent figure I've thought about but can't remember now that needs an almost all-black edition.

Don't know if this would work, but what about painting the whole suit black then touching up the spikes with a high gloss to make them stand out?
To be honest I don't think I'm at that point where I am able to touch up something that small without it spilling over onto the rest of the body. Also by the time I figure out how to do that at my skill level, hasbro will probably announce an official version. I also am not sure I am a big enough fan of that look to go through all that effort. I was just pointing out a potential repaint that could be used with the New Rachel sculpt.
