Fair. I skipped out on this set when it first came out because I felt like the proportions were odd and Mezco was trying to cram too many influences from various eras of the TMNT into this set at once. But now that they are painted up in the original mirage colors I feel like Mezco understood the assignment a little bit better this time around. I always loved the identical red bandanas though so I’m biased. Those original Clan Hamato colors were peak

I've never liked the texture on these Mezco figures, but this is a smart re-release. Also explains why they didn't bother including just one more Raph head in the original set. I'm still a pass though.
 
I'd like to get these from BBTS. They taking their time to list. Nerdzoic has them.
 
These look great but at $350 I can't be buying multiples of this set.
 
I'm surprised they didn't raise the price to $400.

Those Foot Ninja in the accompanying photos look like ass.

Yeah I plan on using my Neca mirage as the backbone for the majority of my mirage TMNT display. I’m not going to go in too deep with Mezco

Yeah, what this set really gets right for me is that they feel spot on to my mental image of them as tiny little guys, but I'm not a huge fan of the FA "big head" look, nor am I really in love with the REALLY thick ankles or wrists for my TMNT. At some point I'm just going to have to suck it up and kitbash my own perfect TMNT, assuming Mattel doesn't come out swinging with something close enough to what I'm looking for.

The Mirage headbands does sell this set's look better, though.
 
I am just shocked it took them this long to make these. I have the original set, and I think that's more than enough for me. But I think these will scratch the right itches for folks. If they wanna drop $350.
 
I like to think that thanks to Neca (and to some extent playmates) there has been quite a revival of the original comic designs with the red bandanas. Also IDW is putting out those archived compendiums too. There has to be a viable market for the fans of this look out there because we are almost at the point of over saturation. They just keep turning up it’s freaking wild

This is tempting. I haven't liked the last two Mezco TMNT attempts. I have the NECA Mirage 4-pack and those are good, just a little taller than I would like and their articulation can be frustrating. The year-long wait for them certainly isn't helping to sell me on them.
